Steve: Use this for my beach resin art and the colors are translucent and fantastic. It lasts a long time since it doesn't take much to get a good color going (1-2 drops). When I run out I will definitely buy more.. perfect blues.. I did not try the brown but I'm sure for whatever I would need it for it will work just as well.

Jenny Poe: I have been using alcohol inks for a year now and continually come back to the Ranger ink line. I do primarily abstract art with the inks and these flow beautifully on whatever substrate I am using at the time. A little bit goes a long way with Ranger inks as the colors are vibrant and these small bottles last me a long time even though I use them ALL THE TIME.. If you are new to using alcohol inks I would suggest starting with Ranger inks, tiles that you can wipe off and reuse and watching a ton of YouTube videos along with joining Facebook groups. It is an incredible art and soo much fun!

C.M. & T.M.: For those used to working with Ranger Adirondack Alcohol Inks, you're probably used to the subdued colors of the line. These are a total change- all three colors are SUPER intense and pigmented.
Three colors n this set: a teal blue, a basic red, and a deep brown. The blue is more of a teal green, the red is a strong red with a cool undertone (more violet than orange), and the brown is LOVELY- like a deep dark golden wood stain.
Regardless, all three colors go on very heavy and intense, and with blending solution or rubbing alcohol, the color pulls off easily (make sure you are using the right substrate! these inks will not really work well on regular paper- use Yupo or glossy papers...), leaving a lighter shade behind.
I hope Ranger makes more of these intense colors- they are lovely.
