Hampshire Man: I've wondered for a while about raising my Tomtom on a longer arm, I have been using the original arm supplied with a Tomtom. The new arm is robust and works (fits) fine and the spring loading makes it easier to attach to the ball mounts than the original - that is too short for a spring.
However, on my MC - due to the ball mount/clocks/screen position - I could not position the longer arm and Tomtom in a suitable way for ease of reading. This is not a problem with the arm, it's a layout thing.
