David PoeDavid Poe: These mounts are great for mounting OmniTracs units in semi's. They are universal and can be mounted in any brand semi. I run a fleet of big trucks and we purchased new trucks recently, I purchased a bunch of these off Amazon. They were shipped quick, all good quality and the price was great. We mount these with self tap metal screws. Easy to install and sturdy.

Cal: Ram Mounts picks up where others failed.
I've tried and used many other mounts trying to get iPad and computer mounted at home on a desk or by the bed for various needs and viewing angles. Look like all mounts available are constructed similarly where the ball mounts are small and don't have the holding power, they'll twist or droop on anything heavier than iPad Pro 11. RAM mounts do have the holding power and various parts that come in the same and size you need to modify your mounts to do what you need when all else fail. They're not cheap, but I am satisfy with the build quality and clamping force.
I wish they do make mounts or brackets for home desk or bed use because I'm sure they'll come up with something nice and get the job done right.

KS: I have tried a bunch of different methods of mounting my phone in my car, and this mount was the first one that worked well for me.

I like that this mounts to the actual surface of the dashboard. Personally, I pried up the dashboard cover, drilled some holes, and bolted this down onto my dashboard (I will be driving my car into the ground and don't care about resale value, but even if I did those holes are pretty small and would be pretty easy to make virtually unnoticeable by just filling them and adding a little dab of paint to match the color), and it is rock solid. I think it would probably hold pretty solidly if attached with adhesive (such as VHB tape) if one wanted to do that instead.

The rubberized ball socket joints of the mount itself are also rock solid once tightened, so the combination of that and having this bolted down means my phone is very sturdily mounted to the dashboard, which is just what I want.

The ball socket joints and nice long arm make this mount very adjustable as well. I was able to adjust the positioning so that while my phone is mounted, I can plug cables into it, the screen directly faces me while I'm driving, my view out of the...
