Digital Seeker: I replaced an existing RainBird controller with this one, due to age. This one is so much different (much newer tech) that I had some questions regarding programming. I sent a query to RainBird tech support more than 2 weeks ago, with no response -- I believe they tout a response within 48 hours. Doesn't say much for their customer support, but the equipment works adequately well.

Threadcutter: I bought this and the Gen II WiFi module. It was to replace an existing (non WiFi) unit that had worked just fine for 3 decades.
The documentation is pretty sparse, but there is good information on Youtube about it. I had zero issues moving the wiring over from the old unit to this one, all pretty straightforward.
I did need to move one of my Orbi satellites into the garage, about 30'ish feet away from the controller/WiFi. I don't consider that a deficiency of the RainBird WiFi, it was just reality. Went through the basic setup instructions, no surprises and connection was quick and easy.
From the time that I started moving wires over, mounting the new unit, terminating wires and set up WiFi, it was about 30 minutes. I really had no nasty surprises along the way.
I'm going to give this 5 Stars tentatively. If something comes up as being problematic, I'll modify my review. But, so far, so good.

Roger Wright: This replaces a much older product and technology.
It was easy to swap out the old and install this unit. It is intuitive to operate; just rotate the program switch and it goes through each step.
So far it seems to do exactly what the home management of an irrigation system requires.
