petrpetr: The cable doesn't work at all. looks different than the picture very cheap. moreover, it cannot be returned, only exchanged. I got the exact same cable from another company on Amazon, which also didn't work. neither the cover nor the cable has a manufacturer's or seler mark. all the positive reviews you can find in the reviews on Indian Amazon are foreign. in India they sell a completely different product, non-functioning trash. this product has thousands of positive reviews, but if you look, you will find that not a single one is from India. I don't understand how Amazon can support such a scam. something like this can only be afforded in India

Eric Pettersen: I recently had to replace my computer and the new one only had a port for an HDMI cable. When I plugged this into my monitor none of the aspect ratios worked. Either the picture was squashed or the top & bottom disappeared off of the screen. Best Buy told me my 3 year old monitor was not compatible with the new computer and I'd have to replace the monitor. I took a chance on a $10 adapter cable and it corrected the problem!
