Pyle Pro Electronic Drum Kit: Portable Electric Tabletop Drum Set for Music Creation and Performance

Ulo Ng Apo: I like the drums set 'cept for the pedals. Don't expect them to work as consistently as you'd expect because they simply don't. I exchanged a unit for the same hoping the pedals would work better than the first but NO. Here's my personal fix for the pedals. Purchased 2 of HXW PDL-HH 191 pedals for 49USD/EA. and one Hosa YMM-261 splitter. The adapters I already have. Just don't use TRS ¼ cables to hook up the pedals or else one of them will not work. Extra expense but now my base pedal and half hat pedal works perfectly. Good luck.

RTG: I had a Pyle Pro Model 01 some years back, and I loved it. Great way to unwind and try drumming. I moved to an apartment and sold the kit due to space. Decided I missed it and was surprised to find that all the years went by, The Pyle Pro 06 was priced the same. I rearranged things in the apt. and bought this kit. It is much more sophisticated the my previous one. I've been watching YT videos on drumming which has helped.
I mostly like to wing it and play different beats. The sound is excellent with headphones and I haven't even scratched the surface on playing different songs, kits and sounds. Pyle makes a great kit and if you search YT you'll see a professional drummer put it through its paces.
Be sure to have headphones with a 1/4 plug or an adapter.

Bruce K.: The actual drums and pads work terrific and have a great sound. The biggest issue I have is with the foot pedals that control the bass drum and the hi-hat. They are total trash. This is the main reason I am giving it three stars instead of five. On both of the pedals, it will do double triggers if you don't pull your foot completely off of the pedal. This is totally unrealistic in using a bass drum or a hi-hat. Now I'm going to have to spend $50 or more to buy a different pedal that does not have this problem. That is the only thing that is keeping me from loving this drum machine.

Paul J. Gaglio: I was debating getting an electronic drum set vs this portable electronic drum kit, and I am so glad that I purchased the Pyle drum kit. This is so much fun to play, the kit selection, voices and ability to create your own kits are incredible and the ability to customize your sound is a great attribute of this product. However, the thing that I found most beneficial as a latin percussionist were the incredible amount of percussion voices. The clave, cowbell, bongos and congas sound great, and there are many tom selections to simulate a timbale sound. The only negative is the kick drum pedal, it is truly terrible, triggers two sounds with one pedal press, however, I purchased a different pedal on amazon, HXW PDL-HH191 Footswitch Hi-hat/Bass Drum Pedal Beaterless Silent Pedal For PD705 Percussion Pad, it works great with this kit. I only use this with headphones, not sure how it will sound "live" but this is so much fun to practice with!!!!

Prajit: My 10-year-old son and I are new to drums. We always wanted to learn drums, but we could never fulfill our dream due to the paucity of space at home and expensive drum kits. Then we saw this on Amazon, and after some research, this product seemed like the best fit for our budget and a small home. I gifted myself this drum kit on my 42nd birthday, and we have been super happy with the build quality, sound quality, and features. The only thing I wish could have been better is the base pedal, which is too sensitive to touch and gets pressed multiple times, even if you intend to press it once. It is far away from the actual acoustic drum pedal. I wish there was an after market accessory available that could be attached to the drums.

izikkLizikkL: After making an inquiry at the post office, I was able to pickup my delivery of this PYLE drum kit (see attached photo).

I purchased this as an alternative to trying to create drumbeats using piano keys/and or drum pads on a drum machine. - The problem with these methods are never lined up in the order of an actual drum set... which makes the very awkward to play, for me. - I used to play drums in college, and I was looking for a device/tool that allowed me to play them... in the same fashion.

The PYLE Desktop Drumkit comes closest to simulate THAT experience.

The drum pads are laid out fairly logically (similar to an actual drumset).
However, I had to make a few adjustments:
1- The upper left pad was programmed to be OPEN HI-HIT (instead of crash cymbol)
2- The upper right pad was programmed to be CRASH cymbol (instead of ride cymbol)
3- The lower "middle" pad was programmed to be RIDE cymbol (instead of hi-hat)

Saving this setup as a USER drumkit has allowed me to play the PYLE drums similar to an actual drum kit (using the supplied drumsticks that came with the unit).

mike mayer: J'ai essayé la batterie environ pendant 45 minutes avant de malheureusement la renvoyer chez Amazon... Le seul problème (à part les pédales évidemment), c'est que pour mon appartement assez mal insonorisé, le son des baguettes sur les pads est un peu fort! Si vous avez un condo bien insonorisé aucun problème!

Le son avec des écouteurs est très bien, bien meilleur qu'avec le son par les petits haut-parleurs... Pour ceux qui sont gauchers comme moi, aucun problème, très facile de programmer le son de la caisse claire à la place du hi-hat et vice et versa. Amazon Customer: It has been a few months since I bought this drum kit. I use this to jam with our school staff band to blow off some steam. I have been using it to busk with my wife, plugged into a battery powered PA speaker. I like that it can run off batteries. The pedals are terrible! I was getting double kicks within weeks and the high hat pedal had a delay/non-responsive. I tried sustain pedals, but they did the same. I bought a Hosa YMM-261 splitter and a couple of RockBand pedals off E bay, and this is working well. I put it in a snare drum stand and have an extra throne. I would use my Roland or Acoustic set in a minute, however, they don't match the portability of this kit.

Patrick: GOT THIS TO WORK NICE WITH ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS. IF YOU CAN RIG THE PEDAL BUTTONS UP TO A KICK PEDAL AND A KICK TOWER THEN THE ACCURACY OF THE DRUMS IS GOOD. Otherwise I wouldn't expect to keep up with pro drummers. The sound is really nice from this one and it was a good upgrade from playing a beaten up old kit in terms of what recording sounds like. The face of the instrument has pads that produce a range of sounds depending on how hard you hit it. The drum and hi hat pedal daisy chain from one another with a series of 9mm jack that in my one got damaged on the back of the drum after improper storage. I use this for recording drums and it's suitable IF you can get a kick tower and suitable drum pedal to hit the drum part with. The way the button is made tends to be not suitable for just putting it under your feet and pressing it. You will find a lot of extra bass drum hits happening when you don't intend them to without properly rigging it up to a pedal tower.
