The glue holding the woofer to the frame came undone and made listening to anything distorted. These are more solidly built it seems. They are also a little bigger so I had to use spacers. The bass sounds a little punchier and the highs are more defined. Liked then so much I bought another set

BackspaceBackspace: Should be a decent set of speakers for the cost. I've purchased all 4 speakers for my truck with Pyle and all 4 turned out good and sound great for my needs, the old factory ones were gone, shot, no good, couldn't even stand to listen to them. So, I decided to buy 4 more for my 02 accord since all of those are factory speakers and are getting old. The one thing I noticed when i recieved these 6x9's was one of the wires off the cone was too short and did not have enough room for cone flexing that a set of speakers like these would require. I uploaded a picture of what I did to resolve this small but "significant" issue. I just simply soldered a small piece of wire too it so it can allow room for flexing. Don't know how or why it was short, but it's not a good idea to leave it that way and not worth the trouble or hassle to return it due to one short wire, the other speaker is just fine. As you can clearly see on the left wire, if I didn't add the piece of wire, it more likely would have been pulled off the terminal while the cone flexed, there was no room for flexing as it was. Outside of that I see no problems with these speakers, I knocked off one star for this...

Fraken: Great sound and no distortion but I have no need to crank it to see if I can blow them. I have my setting of base treble and volume and for that they are great !

Michael L. Knapp: At first I bought these because the speakers in my 2013 Prius were so bad that while I didn't have a lot of cash left after buying I couldn't live with the speakers in the car. I can't believe a major car manufacturer could have thought those speakers were even vaguely adequate. If you ever replace them and see them out of the car you'll know what I mean. So the Pyle speakers arrive. You open the box, get your tools together, remove the door panel and you get to work. First you find out the old speakers are pop riveted rather than bolted on. Then you get the speakers out only to discover the mounting bracket is molded to that joke of a speaker. You had assumed that since Amazon said it would fit your car that it would be a direct fit. NO! You must buy a mounting bracket. Nobody had one locally so you go back to Amazon to order the necessary bracket. So you reassemble the whole door door panel. Please be advised before you order these for a 2010 -14 Prius that YOU CANNOT ASSEMBLE THIS WITHOUT THE BRACKETS! I rig something up to temporarily mount the 1 speaker because I can't stand to put the old 1 back. Even barely wedged in the speaker sounded a hundred times...

Thilo Ettingshausen: Mein Problem ist die boxen halten troz 200 Watt RMS/ 400 Watt Spitzenleistung nix aus die übersteuerten bei mir bis zum geht net mehr aber ich habe auch ein Auto da muss alles laut sein und es muss sich gut anhören für die lautstärke

also zu empfehlen ist es nur für leute die net als so laut hören also achtet drauf ansonsten Hifonics :D

RS: Pros:
This speaker seems fairly well made - it has a strong cone, and a heavy magnet. It sounds nice with great bass. It is a good speaker for the price. It requires a good amplifier, but I was able to get enough bass drive from my 2007 Honda Accord "Value package" radio by adding a few chokes in series to equalize the sound. The chokes attenuate the treble and thus allow more bass for a given volume level

Cons:
One of my two speakers developed a scratchy/fuzzy sound after 4 years of service. This might be a rare occurrence, and Pyle may have corrected the problem by now. I was temporarily able to fix it by tightening the big Phillips head screw in the center of the rear of the speaker (under the blue label). After a few days the problem re-occurred so I (destructively) took it apart and found that the center iron disk had shifted a little and was contacting the voice coil that surrounds it.
