Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach: High Protein Dry & Wet Dog Food for Adult Dogs

S. Pross: I just opened this bag of dog food and I would estimate that 1/5 of the bag is dog food dust. I'm not sure if it was caused by rough storage or shipping, but am disappointed in the quality. Generally there is a little dust when you get to the bottom of the bag, but this bag has large amounts of dust throughout.

SA.: I was looking for a new dog food for our boy and came along this brand and flavor. It’s typically recommended by vets which is actually pretty awesome! We thought it would be quality food but our boy ended up breaking out with bumps all over his body. We also tried Purina Turkey and Venison which didn’t help. We figured it had to be the brand, switched to a different brand and he’s all clear now! Shiny fur and all. While this may work for most, it didn’t sit well with my boy. He’s half Doberman/half Great Dane.

BghBgh: Penny immediately hangs around when it is time to eat, whereas she sometimes skipped meals with her previous dog food. She seems to enjoy the flavor of the salmon, and she has less stomach upset, less itching, and fewer hot spots now that we have switched over to feeding her this food. Our veterinarian recommended this brand as his preferred dog food, and it is what the entire staff feeds their dogs as well. While this brand costs more than others, it is worth the cost.

ff: Omg went to VET due to not eatting etc
And they said to buy Hills Dog food and kept pushing it on me! And wanted me to sign an agreement to purchase $200 worth of dog food I didn’t even know if my dog liked? Kind rubbed me wrong. They kept saying fiber, anyways my dog loveeeesssss this and I pair it with wet (Purina Pro Plan Grain Free Wet Dog Food Variety Pack, Grain Free Chicken and Turkey Entrees - (12) 13 oz. Cans).
The Hills seems to need a Vets script? I’m sure it’s good,? But this works for now, very happy dog.

Lee: I had to change my dogs vet food quick because it was on back order. This food worked great and she didn’t have any reaction at all. Highly recommend for sensitive tummies

bony: I don't know the result it yet , but my 12 years old dog likes it , and my dog has also skin problem ,
so I'll keep on eyes with dog food , hope for the best to her skin , if her skin problem is better then I'll be continued to using and reorder next time .....

E B: I've been feeding this to my 5 year old, 65-lb German Shepherd with EPI for about 6 months now so I think it's safe to say it's a winner. Because of his condition, it's been a challenge to find a food that truly works for his extra-sensitive digestive system. He had been doing well on the Purina Beyond Lamb for a long while until it was no longer available so I tried to switch to this "sensitive stomach" type in the Salmon flavor. That was a no-go and set his poor tummy on a setback. Thankfully, this version exists because he's been doing fantastic on it.

He loves the flavor of this and is always excited for mealtime. I've never had an issue with quality or freshness in any bag I've ordered. I just wish it came in a larger size. The 24 lb lasts us roughly 1 month on 4 cups per day. The feeding instructions for his size suggests 3 cups or less but I found that is not enough to keep him at a healthy weight or satisfy his hunger as an active working dog, so I give him 4 cups.

ChuckChuck: So far so good. The dogs digestive system has improved 100%. Regular and normal looking stools and no more diarrhea. Also using Purina pro biotics recommend by the vet. Fantastic miracle working product. 2 days and she was back to normal. Pure Breeds are notorious for health issues and sensitive stomachs. At first she could eat almost anything but over time after 4yrs old problems developed with food. She became less energetic and slept more. Runs were mainly her walking and her coat started to show lack of lustre and fullness. In one month had noticed a vast improvement and she's far more alert and playful. I can't recommend this Purina Pro Plan enough. Yes it costs more but is worth every penny for a healthier and happier dog. She wants more after every feeding which has never happened with the regular Purina blends. Even tried Smack and she refused to eat it. Probably great dog food but not for her.
