Paul Nicodemi: As others have said, there's something off about these socks. Mine were just delivered, October 2023. Same problems as others have described, lots of werid threads on the interior that make them difficult to take on and off.
I have examined these trying to get to the bottom of what makes them so uncomfortable. There's something about the way they are stitched, just in front of the ball of your foot, on the bottom part where you step. It's like a tight strip of threads that don't flex when you try to open the sock to put it on. It takes a while to convince it to go onto your foot, then it feels like a tight rubber band is wrapped around your foot putting pressure on the sole. Obviously not comfortable.
Normally, I'd give them some leeway, but guys, it's a friggin sock; how do you screw up a sock? I've purchased this same brand/style from Costco and they have none of these problems. Probably another Amazon substitution seller.
I'm not one-starring them becuase they do look great on the outside and technically still function as a sock if you can get it on and get used to the rubber band action. But again...why?

katilou: First off, this is a very comfortable sock to wear. This also the hardest short sock to get on my foot, that I have ever had. It has two support bands. One is around the back of the heal, the other is under the front of the heal. There is also nap in the arch area that your toes get caught in when trying to put the sock on. Very good sock so far, just very hard to put on. I have size 14 feet and wear the 13-15 size.

OC Fun Guy: I like these best for short sport socks that actually fit my size 14 foot, and last reasonably well.
Over the years I've tried so many types of socks, and my needs have changed as well. Given the sixe of my feet, finding socks that fit have always been a problem, tending to be too short, stretching out and tearing quickly. Ranging from long dress to long and short sport socks, I've had problems with all of them.
The only downside with these that warrants 4 instead of 5 stars is this one spot where it feels tight between the front of the heel and bend of the top of the foot near the ankle. It feels like a tight few threads that might tear, causing a hole to open on the sides of the socks at the ankle bones, as other brands have done failed consistently. These tend to feel more resilient than other brands, and I'll have to see how well they last over time. This far, I like them and would buy them again.
