Protective Soft Mesh Dog Muzzle by Proguard

Chris: We have to order one every 1.5-2 years. It has really helped train her not to eat stuff outside though, and she does it much less. They are comfy and stay on pretty well. She's smart and works them off her face eventually. The real pain is that they are poorly made and fall apart and open up along the seam between the fabric and plastic mesh. Wish it was made better.

Laura Adkins professional groomer: Really good muzzle. We usually buy the same brand combo pack from one of our grooming catalogs but had a dog destroy my large size and needed a replacement asap. My only issue is the strap does not slid pretty much at all which makes it a bit tricky to tighten quickly. It seems the ones we usually buy have either a slight wax coating on the strap or made with a slightly different material. Came in the same packaging though and labeled same brand. Hopefully it will slide easier over time.

giraffe: I can't really write much of a review, as Bought it for my dog who scavenges, but she didn't like it at all, so stopped using as it stressed her out, think it might be as she was a rescue dog, and not knowing much about her past, could bring up bad memories.
I think it is good value for money, and would work well on a dog that could tolerate wearing it.

Vicky McKinnon: Well i have a lurcher greyhound cross and wasn't sure if this would fit over his long nose so bought the large and tried it on him fitted great as can tighten or losen the strap and didnt try to take it off very pleased

Craftylady: Bought for my spaniel who is a scavenger Easy to train him to wear it and doesn’t mind it on at all. Soft but strong doesn’t look as intimidating as the basket type muzzle.

Brandy Walters: I have a sheltie, and I got the small. She has a thinner nose than a lot of shelties, so I'm not sure if it would fit all shelties. She is able to get it off, but I don't have it on very tight since I'm just using it to keep her from getting too rough with some kittens I recently rescued while I am working on training her to be gentle. She can pant easily with it on and although I have seen her drinking water with it on, I think it is difficult. She will come to me wanting me to take it off so she can get a drink and will leave it alone after she drinks. It does have a little bit of a chemical smell, but it seems to be wearing off the longer I have it. I do wish the muzzle had been packaged differently. The way that it is folded in the package leaves a crease in the mesh that causes it sit against her nose when she should have plenty of room in the end of it. I have tried to flatten it out, but it hasn't really worked that well. In short, I think it is more comfortable than many other muzzles I've seen and works for what I need it for. I would not recommend it for a really aggressive dog since it's too easy to get off and because of its soft design (which is one of the things I...

Autumn: I bought this muzzle for my dog who has allergies to replace the Elizabethian colar I used to use. He hated the E collar, and so did my knees. I put the muzzle on him when I can't keep a watchful eye on him like when I shower or when I leave him with my mother, who never keeps a good eye on him. I love this muzzle and he doesn't mind it either, the yellow material is made of a plastic canvas that easily wipes clean. The inside and the black trim that is piped around the opening are both a soft material. The mesh part had me nervous, i was expecting it to be plastic and scratchy and was a little worried it might irritate his nose but it's actually a soft rubber type mesh and my dogs nose isn't long enough to touch it anyway. When I leave him with my mother I tell her to make sure to remove it several times so he can eat and drink, but If your dog is crafty (like mine) my mother found out he can still drink with this muzzle on, he just sicks his face in the water bowl and allows the water to come through the mesh and drinks normal - so if you're somewhere where taking the muzzle off isn't a good option in theory your dog could at least still have some water.
