Protect Your Carpet from Wear and Tear with the SALLOUS Office Chair Mat

Amazon Customer: I purchased this mat to go under my standing desk because the rug I had under it instead kept moving and I couldn't open the door behind me. This mat addresses both of those issues -- stays completely in place and is low enough that the door can open. I've been using it for several weeks now and the ridges from how it was folded in shipping are still there, so cosmetically it doesn't look fabulous but functionally I've had no issues. I don't use a rolling chair on it (or anything that moves for that matter) so I can't speak to how it works for those, but I imagine it would be pretty smooth. It feels sturdy and appears to be good quality.

Peckadelic: It's a chair mat. I appreciate the black finish, but for some reason the black makes the divots stick out more (the top side of the spikes on the bottom). Other than that, i can tell it works fine on my carpet. I can see why it's not meant for shaggy carpet as I don't think it'd work very well.

D. Bissonette: The adhesive is surprisingly strong - when I went to remove this one to replace it with a larger mat, it tore a panel of my laminate floor right up with it. No, I didn't Hulk yank it; I was pulling steadily and slowly. Moral of the story: hardwood and linoleum is probably fine but don't put this thing on laminate flooring unless you intend never to move/remove it.

Despite the fact that you need a jackhammer to remove this thing, the edges will quickly rumple and curl on you if you find yourself rolling your chair off and back onto it. I replaced this with a larger mat because I underestimated how much distance I crossed moving forward toward my desk or backward away from it when I stood up. The 55" edge was perfect for the width of it, plenty of room for side to side movement, but 35" was just too short to have enough of it up under the desk to compensate for scooting up to the desk without rolling off the mat, or to have enough behind me to keep from scooting off the mat when I went to get up. You DO NOT want to be rolling on and off this mat - it gets very frustrating very fast having it rumple up in the wheels/legs of your chair. I went ahead and upgraded to a 55"x51"...

David: I liked that this product was pretty much as described. I don't think it will last forever, but it does the job of protecting my hardwood floors in my office admirably. I do wish there was a bigger size. After installing it, almost wish I had two to cover a bigger area ( I wheel around a bit).

Patrick De Michele: Good product for wood flooring but it damage very fast. Mine didnt damage the floor. They should improove the quality of the rug on top. Other than that im please with it.

RT: Product arrived quickly and was as described. I like the adhesive backing so it doesn’t slide around on my vinyl plank flooring. My office chair rolls easily on it and it adds a barrier to block some of the cold from the floor.

Tyler: The mat has lasted me approximately 1 whole year, though where my feet and rollers of the chair are, the mat is very ragged. The adhesion is good underneath it, but after a few months the edges all were no longer sticky.

Gary Cheung: So far nothing to write home about or complain about. Does exactly what you need to protect the floor from scratches from your chair but it isn't going to win any beauty awards.
