Joshua S Davies: We have what it would appear is a small drain hole on our shower so none of the bath shrooms would fit but this is perfect. It catches so much hair and just needs cleaning every now and then when the draining slows down. It does obviously slow down the speed that the water drains away which causes a bit of a puddle and can mean some soap marks in the shower tray but thats the price to pay to not have to put drain cleaner in once a week!

Sharky: This is not the first time we tried "shrooms" - Sink/bath Shrooms. Love them.

In our household we all have longish hair. Before using this product, I would have to frequently fish a wad of hair and soap out of the drains. I quickly got tired of this. At first, we got the silicon bathtub version. It worked great. Found out there are at least two sizes of drain holes, however. One bathroom had a larger size, slipped right in. The other bathroom had a smaller one, tighter fit. The Shroom will still work, but you have to get it to sit in the hole just right, and then, let it form itself to the hole size. This deforms the Shroom and slightly slows drainage time. Not to worry unless you have Niagara Falls water flow.

We also tried it on drains and it worked great. Unfortunately we noticed a black coating on the silicone type Shroom. This did not wash off. We think it is black mold...? Looking on Amazon I found a stainless steel version for the sink. So far it is easier to keep clean and does the job. It comes with three different size gaskets to fit various size drain hole openings. Happily the product saves a lot of time and effort.

JK: I replaced my plunger type bathroom sink drain protectors with these. They do catch and hold any hair going down the drain until you easily remove it. They clean well and insert easily. The only caveat is that if you need your drain plugged to keep water in the sink, you will need to use something else or additional for that. I never do, so these work well and look good too.

MB-Reader: Ich brauche kaum noch Chemie für den Abfluss (1x im Jahr reicht vollkommen, seit ich diesen Abflussschutz in meiner begehbaren Dusche installiert habe. Er fängt Haare und Schmutz perfekt auf. Allerdings kündigt es sich vorher nicht an, wenn er voll ist und dann läuft das Wasser nicht mehr ab und man muss ihn ganz flott sauber machen, wenn man keine Überschwemmung im Bad will. Daher 1 Punkt Abzug. Ich reinige ihn mittlerweile wöchentlich, somit ist das Problem gelöst. Die Reinigung ist dank Silikonring und Edelstahlkörper superieinfach. Vorher hatte ich einen kompletten Silikonkörper mit Noppen im Einsatz. Das ließ sich irgendwann nicht mehr richtig reinigen und sah verboten aus später. Daher kann ich dieses Produkt nur empfehlen.

Victor V Rothhaas: Since I'm reordering this product, I decided to leave a review for it. I had purchased this product back in May, 2020. Yesterday (4 months shy of using it for 3 years), while cleaning it, the top part become separated from the core piece. After inspection, I noticed part of the plastic hole where the core screw goes into and connects the two pars had broke. This likely could've happened because I was being a bit heavy handed while trying to scrub the top part clean...or perhaps the plastic just became brittle over time due from normal wear and tear. A few reasons why I've decided to keep using this product and highly recommend it:
1) Easy to install. It fits into the sink drain hole perfectly without restricting water drainage.
2) Easy to remove. You don't have to struggle twisting, turning, or pulling it out to clean and has a snug fit.
3) Fairly easy to maintain it's shine and keep clean. I just take a paper towel or tp and use it to wipe and collect all the hair, toothpaste, shaving cream, and scum that gets trapped and accumulated on the core screen. Many reviewers have already mentioned that the top part will change color, having a blackish or pinkish color over time...
