MannyManny: Originally, I needed just a seal to stop the leakage under the sink bit upon installing the new piece, I verified the old piping needed a complete replacement from top to bottom. I'm glad I found this and soo happy it was an easy install, highly recommend if you have my type of sink as illustrated in my pictures above! The size is a direct replacement and the quality of the part I'd surprisingly very good!!!

Gerald S. FullerGerald S. Fuller: I bought these pop-up drains after installing automatic faucets which had no provision for the regular stoppers that have a pull up handle. They were very easy to install, much easier than removing the old ones. Both worked just fine, no leaks. However, the sinks do not drain as completely as they did with the old stoppers, which were considerably thinner and smaller in diameter. I think for now I will just soak it up with a hand towel rather taking them out and trying to modify them somehow.

Epic ReviewEpic Review: This is a a very good product. I bought a matte black Kohler faucet and drain set. I decided to keep the faucet, because worked great and fit in with my bathroom, but the drain assembly was problematic. The Kohler drain assembly had more plastic parts and leaked slightly no matter how tight I put it on. I'm not sure why the Kohler leaked, but my best guess was poor design and manufacturing of the drain (top diameter was warped and did not sit flush in the sink) and the foam gasket didn't seem to do the job. I was frustrated and didn't want to return the entire set, so I did my research and this product showed up.

This product was comprised of more metallic parts and seemed sturdier than any drain I ever installed. The best of part is that I didn't used any tools to install it. The gaskets were all rubber or TPU. The pipe and drain valve are metal.

Installation tips: Do a dry install and see where the washer lines up and teflon tape a few thread above and below. Then do the full install and hand tighten. Because of the teflon it will be water tight and no need to over tighten with tools. No leaks at all and works very well! Took about 10 minutes to install.

SevenMichael: I ordered two of these, one bronze the other brushed nickel. I incorrectly ordered the brushed nickel without overflow, so I had to return it for this one with overflow. These are excellent quality items in both material and finishes, and the price is great. I've already installed both.

Although there are no instructions with the item, it's very easy and straight-forward. For any first timer, you can find a you-tube video to tell you how.

My problem was my existing vanity sinks came with a regular "screen" type drain cover (i.e., 19-hole strainer), and as with many vanity sinks, it took a long time to drain or you had to help it by rubbing your finger over the top of the drain.

I researched the issue and did not want to have to install a vent under my small sink, so I went with the stopper approach. This works great ! it reduces the splatter when the water is running, and it drains immediately because the stopper creates a vortex effect in the drain preventing the air from being trapped.

So, this is the solution if you have a vanity sink that isn't draining properly or quickly. I should note that it comes with 2 rubber seals. Initially, I applied one...
