The Prostormer Sump Pump is the perfect solution for pool, pond, garden, cellar, and irrigation needs. With a 1/2HP motor, it pumps up to 2110GPH of clean or dirty water and has a built-in float switch for easy operation. Visit the Prostormer Store to find the best sump pump that is easy to install, use, and has excellent customer support and design.Dave and Jeannie: The pump works well, however it may work too well. During a heavy rain, water accumulates under our house and we installed the pump under the house in a partially submerged 10 gallon bucket so the water would spill over into the bucket and activate the pump. A test of the pump revealed it could empty a half-full bucket in the blink of an eye so that in an actual rainfall the pump may pull the water out faster than it flows into the bucket. In "auto" mode this would cause it to pulse on-off-on-off continually during a storm.

Rick H.: My pump showed up today, and I put it straight to work. Instructions weren't terrible, but could be a little clearer. I figured out the initial startup and air purge without any issues. It's a hefty little sucker, and for being plastic appears quite sturdy and we'll built. The two adapters that come with it seem thick and sturdy as well. If you're looking to hook up a yard hose to it then you're in luck. It will screw right on there with the supplied reducer. I bought it because of the 1 hp motor, and high flow rate, and I wanted to use a 1 1/2 inch hose. Unfortunately, the adapters that came with it are only reducers fro 1 12 inches. Now granted, the largest diameter reducer is 1 1/4 inches, so I cut off the excess smaller end and the hose fit with a hose clamp with some minor leakage. It did not appear to affect the pumping suction though. I will go purchase a threaded coupler from the hardware store and use the 1 1/2 inch adapter that I already have. Not a big deal really. I bought it to finish draining my pool for a deep clean. My old Wayne pump that I've had for years and rebuilt a couple of times finally decided to croak for good leaving about 2 ft of water...

Marco:
I did not expect to use this at all! When I bought it, I figured I’ll get a cheap one for my newly built pool “just in case.” Now we have a lot of rain lately here in CA. I have been using this a few times already to quickly drain some of the pool water to prevent it from overflowing (pool overflow line is not quick enough). It works very quick and efficient, very easy to use once you’re familiar with the set-up (hose). We are so happy with this purchase. Saved us from headaches from this rainy/stormy weather.
FYI. The only downside is that it needs a deep water in order for this to work properly. It wont work on shallow puddles of water. But I can’t complain since it did what I wanted to do (for pool emergency drain).

Paul G.:
I have a sump pit I installed. Now "Gravity" will allow this pit to let water flow out but only after it fills to almost full. So in my case, it's kind of a fail over. Only if we get heavy rain do I even worry about it. That said, i wanted to put a pump in to help keep it lower because the GROUND around (and even under) my house/basement is saturated and I wanted to try and help it out quicker (relatively speaking). Additionally, I want to be able to avoid the overflow of my sump (natural drainage) on the heavier flow. THus I needed a Sump that would come on/off automatically. This one looked like a good fit. I purchased it, got the appropriate adapters needed to hook up my hose (for now) and let it go. Worked like a charm.
After about a week, of going down and checking on it periodically, I started to notice that my sump basin was near full (at the level where it would drain naturally out the top pipe). The pump SHOULD have been running and SHOULD have come on when the basin is only about a third of the way full. Just shaking the hose attached to the sump, which jarred the sump pump, was enough to cause it to kick on. Then it would work fine (on and off)...

Gary B.: The city had a water leak in the alley that kept filling up my sprinkler valve box. The leak last 3 months. So I bought this a set it on a timer to pump out every 2 hours for 15 minutes (it took about 1 1/2 hours for my valve box to fill). My valve box was large enough that it held about 110 gallons of water. It worked great a first but the float on the low level switch would get stuck and the pump would not come on. I would have to go and shake the pump a little to get the float loose so pump would come on.
Over all it worked as intended and I did use it for about 3 months straight on a timer.
When I took it out I did clean it up and back flush the pump to clean it out and it’s ready for the next time I need it
