DAN D.: I like the ability to see how much propane is in my tanks using their app on my phone. They just attach to the bottom of the tank using magnets. But, they ARE a bit touchy. The location on the bottom of the tank is very important. I found that the thickness of the paint on my brand-new RV tanks was thick enough that the indicated signal quality was poor. I sanded down the paint a bit, and used a piece of duct-tape to hold the sensors more firmly in place, and this helped a lot. I also found that sometimes they eat through batteries very quickly. Like, they go from indicated full-charge to low-charge in hours. At least my first set did. So I ordered a replacement set. After ordering, I replaced the batteries in my original set again, and this time they didn't kill the batteries. (all from the same fresh pack of brand-new Duracell batteries...). So I'm still using the originals for now, keeping the new ones as spares.

Mike Hayward: I've struggled getting this product to work over the last year and a half and am finally getting it dialed in. If it is a challenge for you to access your propane tank(s) to guess how much propane you've got, I highly recommend this product.
I own an Arctic Fox 990 truck camper which has two large 35 lb propane tanks stored inside a very tight compartment accessed at head level. This is awesome for keeping the tanks warm in the winter and protected from the elements, but not so awesome for monitoring the absolutely critical propane level. I rely on propane heating to keep the plumbing from freezing solid in the winters here in Colorado when I boondock so knowing how much propane I have remaining is key. Other free standing 25 propane tanks that I also use are easy enough to pick up and estimate by weight if they are getting low. Personally I don't want to fool with a device like this for those applications.
With the blue tooth application I've been able to pair with two of these devices, no other equipment needed. The range is a bit limited given the tanks are made of metal and perhaps some older bluetooth implementations won't work well, but it works fine from...

Al: The seniors work great but I'm not sure I'm getting a true reading? I just had a 30 lb propane bottle filled, but the sensor only reads 85% full. Not sure if it's the fill or the sensor? The company making the sensors state they have made adjustments as to the bottle not being completely full with the pressure Gap in the tank. So it should read close to a 100% when full? I guess it will take several fills to get a true reading with the sensors.

HClarkx: I had great difficulty getting these to work. Here is what I found to be necessary. Most are not mentioned in the instructions.
If your tank happens to have thick walls, you will need to clean down to bare metal where the sensor is seated. The metal must be quite smooth. If you take the paint off with a Dremel or similar, you will need to polish out most of the scratches with emery cloth or a very fine file then emery cloth. Do all you can to create a flat spot the size of the sensor. Having a smoother sensor contact area seems to considerably help the units work.
Depending on the curvature of the bottom of your tank, one magnet or the other may tend to pull down to the tank and cock the sensor so it does not make full contact with the tank. If so, shim the magnets with masking tape or similar so that the sensor remains flat on the tank with the two magnets just slightly above the adjacent tank surface. Don't use too much masking tape as the magnets have to pull the rubber sensor firmly against the tank.
It can take 20 minutes or more for the rubber sensor to seat on the tank. Each time I moved mine, it took another 20 minutes or more for the magnets to "form"...

Robert Anthony: I bought these hoping they would solve my propane level concerns. In order to get the sensors to actually read the tanks, I had to sand all of the paint down to the bare metal on the bottoms of the tanks to get the sensors to read properly.
After a significant amount of work (approx 90 minutes of time) to actually get them to pick up the levels, I am disappointed to find that the batteries in both sensors (I bought a 2 pack) after only 14 days have depleted to the point of needing to be replaced.
I wouldn't buy them again.
