Phil Gallegos: I replaced the regulator on my compressor

Joey the K: I replaced my compressor's regulator with this one, and it works perfectly now. No more pressure fluctuations or air leaks at the regulator. Excellent!

Karen Noel: Worked pretty good for about 2 years and then stopped working

Cully: I installed this on an air tank to regulate down the 120psi I load the tank with, to 70 psi for my finish nailer. For small jobs like putting up moldings, it's cheaper than purchasing a small compressor, and easier than dragging a hundred-plus feet of air hose through the house. My old regulator would leak above 50psi of tank load, requiring me to carry the tank back to the compressor to reload quite often. This new regulator does not leak, adjusts easily, and the gauge is easy to read. The tank hasn't lost any air in weeks since installing this new regulator. Sitting solid at 120psi. Would recommend.

The Notorious JJS: Works as expected. Simply install your basic/quick couplars on one end and male on the other end. I attach directly at the pin guns to regulate pressure at the gun. I use a lot of 18ga and 23ga pins.
I have also used directly in front of spray gun.

Jared: This works great on my compressor. It keeps the pressure as it should, and is easy to open and close (I turn the hose pressure to zero when I finish because there is always a leak on one of the connections for the hose and I don't like hearing it cycle needlessly at random times.)

The hook up was easy since I already had the connections, and it fits just as the original equipment did. I would recommend to anyone who needed to fix theirs.

Update after 3 months: It sucks. Failed. After three months it has started leaking around the adjustment knob, just as the one it was replacing did. I thought maybe I had not taped the threads well enough, but after disassembling the whole set up to include the pressure gauge, then the regulator, the putting it all back together, it is the adjustment knob. It failed. So I am off to Lowe's to get the Kobalt that I didn't want to buy, because I need it today to put up the trim we were redoing in the house. Guess you get what you pay for.

Edward E.Nigma: Upon using for a few hours, I like the compact size and light weight of the unit...

Have noticed that there is a small air leak in the actual pressure regulator guts, and not from the threaded connections. Is not a HUGE deal to me as this is being used in a sporadic fashion to power air tools in a remote area using SCUBA cylinders and not an air compressor, so when not in use it is disconnected from air source.

The handwheel knob that adjusts the pressure is a tab finicky to use an have found that to keep a STATIC set pressure you have to come UP to that specific pressure and not DOWN from a higher pressure.. In other words. if your air supply is 175psi, and you want to regulate the pressure to say 50psi, you need to crank the dial way down..bleed off or drop the air on the demand side and then slowly turn the knob to the desired pressure. cycle you tool/attachment and fine tune the pressure and in my experience it will hold +/- 5 psi. The opposite has shown a massive downward decrease in pressure as you use your tool to a whopping -50-70 psi.. Not sure if this is a flaky funky regulator or its designed that way.. But we have gotten it to work quite well and seems to...

Eric P.: Works if mounted correctly. If mounted backwards it seems to leak unless full pressure selected/screwed in. Reverse the unit so that the airflow matches the arrow on the back of the regulator, and all good.
Funny - this is how the factory regulator behaved since new - I wonder if it was on backwards for the last 10 years or so...

Amazon Customer: Works very well for me. Attached this to a 29 gal Compressor and so far so good. The original stopped working so for the money, I thought this was good value for the money. Not sure about the longevity of it but only time will tell. As far as accuracy, I've never tested it, I set it to 120 PSI and seems to be operating just like the old one. The only issue I have is that it's not clocked like the old one but that's my fault for not checking the flow direction and orientation.

M. ScottM. Scott: The original replacement Regulator for my 20+ year old CH 4 Gallon compressor was discontinued, so I needed a substitute. Although this one is configured slightly differently, it installed well, it’s functional with the design of my compressor, and it works flawlessly. Please be mindful of two things:

1. air flow direction; There will be an arrow on the regulator, and an R or L. Sometimes they are interchangeable, as was the case with me. I replaced an R with an L, and it still worked with the layout. You’ll just have to look closely at the photos before you order, and decide if it will work for your application. You can see from my photos how the configuration differs from old(with red “CH” on the regulator knob), to the newly installed one.

2. The coupler that connects the regulator may need to be replaced, depending on its age; mine did. Do yourself a favour, and order one or two at the same time; I happened to have a couple in the tool box.
