Stephen GriffinStephen Griffin: This rice is absolutely wonderfully delicious. Keep in mind that anything good takes time and their is no exception to this when it comes to cooking this rice. Soak for 30 minutes in cold water. Drain water rice is soaking in and add clean cold water 2-3 times during the 30 minute soak time. Then rinse properly in a rice strainer then cook as per directions & you will truly enjoy. It’s one of my favourites with Salmon & a fresh garden salad…. Hope my description helps others prepare the rice properly & enjoy. With soaking/cooking/wait time after cooking you are looking at about an hour.

Esrom: The authentic original, pungent basmati rice strain T3, was grown in the Dehrudun region of India for 100's of years, but has been cross-bred to get faster, higher yield and longer grains, but loosing it's flavour.
These hybrid strains should not still be called "Basmati", as they have little flavour and a less "fluffy"texture Sadly these "hybrids" are all we can buy, since 10 years. I've tried around 20 brands and found "Pride Of India" to be the best and closest textured rice to the authentic original T3 basmati strain, but with a less pungent aroma and taste.
