jeremy liebenguth: We can't find these year round here, so we order these and the parrot loves them. We give these as a foraging treat and will probably donate half the bag as there is alot here. However, he still has his treats and a happy cockatoo is silent one.

SanityCoaster: OK, so I get these to take care of my little congregation of squirrels. Normally they get nuts already shelled cause you get more pound per pound that way for the price. However, squirrels teeth are always growing. They can grow up to 2" inches every year. So, squirrels are "Teething" all year long. They can't help it and they can't do anything about it, that's the nature of squirrels. To save my deck from becoming a giant chew toy, twice a week I give my squirrels nuts in the shell (They love Pecans, Walnuts and Hazelnuts the most but will also settle on Almonds as a last resort though they are not as hard of a shell to crack so not as good for "teething"). Not only does this help them with teething, which is a relief for them and it also feels good but, at the end, they get a tasty treat. Double bonus! After my usual brand went out of stock (Now I know why), I tried this brand of walnuts. Couldn't hurt after all I get their Hazelnuts & Pecans in the shell and raw peanuts out of shell (Just an FYI, peanuts, in any form are not really good for squirrels, there is no nutritional value in them for a squirrel and it only makes them fat and unhealthy so use RAW peanuts only to...
