Dee: I just received the package yesterday and was very excited to use it with my little sister. However, the instructions did not cover everything. I did not know how to assemble the terrestrial scope or the phone mount. Looked everywhere for the directions in the manual but found nothing. I had to google it in the end.
Also, the screw that holds the eyepiece does not screw all the way in and instead it just scratched the eyepiece making it loose and so it keeps falling off. And since the phone mount goes above the eyepiece, I couldn’t use it at all.
The planets are not visible whatsoever, only the stars and the moon are. Even so, the image is distorted and it shows three versions of the same object (2 of which are faded, only the one in the centre is clear). The craters and mountains on the moon were visible I’ll give it that. It was cool to look at and observe.
Overall, to be fair, I did not expect much for the amount I paid. Image distortion was expected, but what really disappointed me was the eyepiece screw.
3 stars just cuz the eyepiece thing was a bummer.

Tucker HackettTucker Hackett: I got this as a gift from my girlfriend because I love astronomy. It’s a decent beginner telescope. The telescope wasn’t difficult to assemble, and it comes with some various components for multiple configurations. It also comes with a mount for your phone so that it can take a picture through the telescope, but don’t expect the image to be a professional quality since it literally is just a phone camera pointing at the viewing piece. To help with taking pictures, it also came with a small bluetooth remote that can connect to your phone and take photos without physically touching your phone.
The biggest issue I had with using the telescope was adjusting it while using it. The tripod is very basic and uses knobs to lock the telescope in place (I’ve added a photo of these knobs). This means to adjust the telescope even the slightest bit means unscrewing the knobs to loosen it, aiming the telescope, and then tightening the knobs, which often meant your aim would be a bit off from what you went for because tightening the knobs can move things. Again, for a beginner telescope and for this price, this is to be expected and it still functions well when you get the hang of it.

DJ Hostetler: Is it a telescope? Yes.
Does it make things look closer? Yes.
Is it well built? No. Is the tripod sturdy? Nope. Is it easy to focus on objects? Not really, the substance they used to lubricate the gears is super thick and actually makes tearing sounds it's so sticky and with the flimsy tripod they mocked you with your focal point will barely stay on what you are trying to target.
So the Pros: It's a telescope, it zooms and has multiple options for setting up magnification and eye piece apertures that beginners will want to get experience with. The bluetooth camera trigger provided pairs up via bluetooth and works pretty effortlessly and is extremely needed for taking any photos with your phone using the phone adapter to attach.
The major Cons: Super cheap build quality. Lots of plastic. Excess glue on the scope body had to be scraped and wiped away. Dust was already on the diagonal mirror straight from the box and out of the plastic wrap so there is artifacting in the view on day one. The mirror is also the type that absorbs light so you get less using it. The tripod is so flimsy if you try to raise the telescope it becomes a bobblehead doll and...

Happy: I’ve had this telescope for several weeks now but when it arrived there were several fires in my area that filled the skies with smoke and had for months. A couple of days ago I was finally able to test it out on top of a mountain at Lake Tahoe. After some fiddling around to put it together (the pics on here helped far more than the instruction manual) we were able to point it at the sky and holy crap. I had no idea the moon and close planets looked so dang COOL! This isn’t something I’d just buy a 10 year old and expect them to figure out how to put it together but between myself and my engineer husband we had it up and ready within 45 minutes (we took our time whilst the sun was setting.) We took some amazing pics with my iPhone and truly enjoyed this being part of our date night. I highly recommend it as a first telescope. I honestly think I’m hooked now!
