TaylorTaylor: I have some sentimental silver jewelry pieces from my childhood (I’m in my 30’s now), as well as a sentimental silver necklace that was gifted to me 5 years ago that I truly thought were “lost causes” because the tarnish was so bad. I am a bit embarrassed to admit this, but I didn’t know silver needed to be polished. I also didn’t know that it could be “saved” once it did tarnish. For years, I was ashamed that I “didn’t care for my jewelry” better & carried a lot of regrets about this.

The other night I randomly decided to Google the jeweler the necklace came from (Shinola), & I was reading their FAQ on how to care for their jewelry. They recommended a “silver tarnish cloth” for cleaning, so I came to Amazon. :)

I read another review below from someone who used this cloth to salvage a Tiffany’s Necklace that they also thought was a lost cause, so I decided to order this particular cloth. It arrived the next day.

This review mentioned it took 3 hours to get their necklace back to its shiny self, so I knew I would need to be patient with the process. I sat down with Netflix on & went to work … 2 hours later, my necklace...

Keeps Jewelry Clean and Shiny- at time of review the cloth is $10.95 not counting any discounts. I personally love it's made in the USA, and it works. In fact it helped me discover that my so called Sterling earrings were in fact just plated- while that was frustrating to discover as I thought otherwise- it was interesting to uncover. It has done wonders on my other silver and gold jewelry items. This cloth will last me a long time as well. Very happy with this purchase.

kirk: Within a few days after wearing the bracelet, it began to tarnish. Made from sterling silver, with my children's and my wife's name on it, you can imagine it was a special gift. I didn't take it off. I work out in it, do my chores in it, and work on my project car. I take it off when sleeping and showering. As it began to tarnish I knew I had to find a better way to care for this special gift. After receiving the cleaning cloth within seconds it was back to its original sparkling look.
