NRM: I love the new gi. I scooped it in olive and it is a delightful addition to my jiujitsu wardrobe. I am 5'6", and fluctuate between 145-165lbs on a good/bad month respectively. Going into the winter months I'm around 160lbs currently. I purchased a size A2 for reference. The jacket is a bit snug for 160/165lbs. The gi comes preshrunk, so as long as it is hung up to dry it should remain about the same size. The gi pants on A2 are a bit large waisted and just a tad bit too long for a shorter/thinner guy like myself. I plan on washing the pants and popping them in the dryer to get it to shrink to the right fit. The fabric seems strong as well as the seams. If you're on the fence about it, I would recommend purchasing this gi because it is inexpensive while still remaining good quality. There are a variety of colors including the standard white or blue colorways that most gyms tend to prefer for school uniforms as well as other more unique ones. This Gee wins on all counts. It is extremely comfortable and fits well. I love the material - not a thin single layer - it is much thicker and comfortable. It is very soft yet durable.
The fit is as expected. Since I have always worn the general issue Gee that we bought in class I am definitely happy to have this upgrade! I feel better, look better and am sure my work is better!!
