Stan: The colors are great. No problem with point breakage. Not as soft as the Prismacolor but blend very well.
I use these more than any of my other brands of pencils.

I wanted the updated coloured barrel to match my others s so bought the three sets , but in my Scorpion tin the colour olive green is different darker then the original they have mixed it up with colour lime fruit . And also my tanned pencil does not match . I also bought the other tins and everything is fine in them .

Tammy AdenTammy Aden: The media could not be loaded.  I bought the complete set of Black Widow pencils. Unlike my Spider set, these did not come with the protective plastic covering inside. As you can see by the few pictures , they were previously used. I purchase many used products and have no problem with it. However, I CHOOSE to purchase used and would appreciate new products when I pay for them. I was very disappointed in Amazon, but my opinion of this great product itself stays the same.

These Black Widow brand pencils are vibrant and go down smoothly on the coloring page. They feel velvety as you color. This is my first experience with this brand. I usually use Derwent Inktense or Prismacolor Premier Pencils. I am considering an auto ship of these. I would definitely recommend and buy again. Thank you for a great, affordable product.

Diane Finlay: Bought as a gift for my daughter-in-law who is an artist. The box is attractive and much better protection for the pencils than a cardboard box. Additionally the Scorpion is her birth sign which is away of personalizing the gift.

Commande reçue dans les temps en plusieurs paquets. Une seule boîte présente un crayon dont la mine est cassée.
Je regrette juste que l'on ne puisse pas obtenir le set dark skine tone sur Amazon fr alors qu'il est bien présent sur la version US. il me manque juste cette boîte pour avoir le nuancier complet.
Ils me paraissent plus gras que ce que j'ai l'habitude d'utiliser, les dégradés se font facilement.

MerteuilMerteuil: I had eyeballed the Black Widow sets for a while after seeing some artist reviews on YouTube. I used the full box set of prismacolors and while they were okay, I always had some issues with the way it would look (like crayons that you go over and over again but still just looked bad). The reds were especially under that umbrella.

I finally decided to try the light skin tone palette and after using just a few shades I decided to get the entire sets of the Black Widow line. The reds look SO much better than the prismacolors. The way the color lays down on paper is smooth and you don’t have to go over it several times to get the color to really pop. Shading is probably the best given the smoothness of the pencils when you layer it. I had the blender from prismacolor and it would look harsh at times. The Black Widow line is by far my favorite as of now and will recommend them to anyone- beginner to expert.

Don’t wait like I did, go for it. I’ve used a range of brands from Crayola, Castle Art, to Prismacolor and the Black Widow pencils just perform better than the rest. Especially if you have a coloring book with a lower paper quality (I’ve noticed the...
