T: First time I'm purchasing any kind of beard product. Wanted something to control my beard hairs and make it look nicer and smoother. With so many choices and different opinions/tastes it's hard to know what to pick, so I hope this helps others decide.
As far as holding power goes, there's not much (may try something stronger, like a wax next time), but it does make everything a bit smoother, and look nicer (but I still have plenty of hairs pointing in odd directions).
My greatest fear was that the scent would be annoying (I'm very sensitive to smells), or that it would make my face feel greasy all day.
I picked the 'Outlaw' scent based on the description, and it smells great to me (and the wife also likes it, phew!). It's subtle enough that I don't notice it during the day. No greasiness as long as you don't apply too much of it, and remember this is to apply to your beard not your skin.

Megatron: The balm smells great, it has a light lemony scent which isn't overpowering. A little goes a long way.... a thumb nails worth is more than enough so this will last you a while. Comes in a handy pouch.

I've used other balms in the past and they have been a little too heavy and greasy. The Badass brand is easy to apply and doesn't make your beard itchy or heavy at all. Most of all, it tames stray hairs making my beard look nice and presentable.... this certainly is bad ass !!!

Geri B: Yes this delivers! We have used this product for 3-4 years now and the quality is always high. Usually buy from the States, but found a seller on Amazon with prices being in line with US. Free delivery over a certain amount spent, so always good! You also get a little guitar pick and the balm is encased in a velvet branded bag - a little class in merchandising! Good for short to medium beard length - moisturises the skin so that there is no rash under the growth. If you want to sculpt your beard, go for the wax product.

HappyFamily: I have tried almost every beard product from almost every seller on Amazon during the last 6 years and I am so glad I found these guys. Bad Ass Beard is the beard products I have ever used. Period. I have what could be considered a large beard (5-6 inches) depending on being trimmed or if I’m in a caveman phase. This is the only balm I have ever used that actually tames by beard but keeps it soft and DOES NOT LEAVE MY BEARD GREASY! I can’t tell you what that means to me. The last thing I want is my beard to like it is dripping in cooking oil. The Patriot smell is awesome and just smells like freedom and baby bald eagles. I use everything from this company now. The beard shampoo, the body wash and the beard oils they make are just first class. I have tried Patriot, El Barista and the Mountain man scents and they are all just awesome. Give this company a try, you won’t be disappointed at all and you just might find that you can stop searching for the perfect beard company to take care of your man mane like I have.

KTR: I love the scent. Only lasts a few minutes.
I love the moisturizer. Lasts all day.
Cost? At double the price of my last balm is it worth it? USA vet product. I'll gladly pay a little extra for that. It was overall a better product than my last balm. Is it worth double the price? This is were I'm torn, but in the end yes. My other balm was a bit more greasy at first application, so I wouldn't use it daily. This stuff goes on great and I used it every day. I only gave 4/5 since the scent longevity was a little disappointing. But will buy this again.

biggjimm: I have a whole box of beard care products in my closet. Different oils & balms from at least a dozen different companies. All of them are products that did not meet my standards. Either too oily, smelled awful, or just plain did not work for me.
That all changed when I first ordered from bad ass beard care!
I closed that box & threw it in the closet!
I use the beard oil & balm, both in the ladies man scent, from bad ass beard care.
It's not too oily, smells awesome & it just plain works. No more itchy skin & my beard looks & smells amazing!
