Pratley Clear 2 Part Epoxy Glue Repair Kit for Glass and Plastic Surfaces

Lego Buyer: Love the clear version of this as the item doesn't have to be white to have it look OK when fixed. I use for ceramics, including the accidently chipped toilet tank.

This is a 2 part mix that starts reacting immediately. Be sure to wear gloves and protect your surfaces. I mix these on a paper plate and use a plastic knife to quickly smooth the product on one side of the break. It gets tacky and difficult to work with pretty quickly, so wipe off the excess immediately.

Once fully cured this bond is as good as an unbroken part.

Kirke Lawton: I used this glue for a recent 3D printing project where I wasn't getting sufficient strength from superglue. This did the trick. As a epoxy, it's a bit of extra work, but it was worth it.

I like that this comes in 2 toothpaste-tube-like tubes rather than syringes like many of other brands. It is just as easy to use and will last longer. Whenever I went back to use the other brand after it sat in the toolbox for months after use it would be nearly impossible to use. The 2 component liquids tend to mix together at the tip and therefore get glued shut. This product, on the other hand, comes in two separate tubes so that that won't/can't happen.

Has a chemical smell when mixing, but it's not overwhelming and doesn't persist when applied.

Will buy again when I need more.

Aisling D.: In our home, when a favorite, decorative china dish broke, I was devastated. And I wanted to repair it as seamlessly (and permanently) as possible.

I ordered this epoxy glue... and it worked perfectly. The cracks in the china are still visible, but - from a distance - it looks like new. (Given the damage to the dish when it broke, that's kind of amazing.)

A few points:

- Follow the directions exactly.

- Consider wearing plastic gloves when you're working with this glue, as it's challenging to get it off fingers, even with solvents. (And don't even think about leaving the mixed epoxy or the item being repaired where a child might touch it while the epoxy is sticky.)

- Spread and mix it on a piece of cardboard, and use a small implement like a toothpick to blend the two parts. Also, you'll probably need less epoxy than you expect, but that will vary with the project, and how quickly you apply the epoxy to it; this stuff gets thick pretty fast.

- Use it in a well-ventilated area. Pheeeuuuuwww, it's stinky!

- Start with a very thin coating, and see if it seems to hold. It doesn't shrink as it dries, and a little goes a very long way....
