Sylvia C. Mattison: I have an 2002 LB7 Duramax. It may be my imagination, but the truck seems to run smoother. But it does get better mileage. I pulled 17.5 mpg on several runs to Lake Havasu from Orange County with Diesel Kleen.
Last weeks run without Diesel Kleen was a hair over 16 mpg.

Prof100: Adding Diesel Kleen to a replacement fuel filter in my IDI Navistar (Ford) turbo diesel solved the engine stalling problem that appeared after filling both tanks after letting the truck sit for six months with both tanks half filled. Apparently, filling the tanks dislodged some gunkthat pushed the gunk into the fuel filter that caused the fuel delivery to stall the engine when the gas pedal was released abruptly. It would restart immediately but having the engine die every time I released the gas pedal and went to idle so intolerable and hazardous. So, I poured 1/4 of the large jug into each tank. Ran it for a half an hour hoping it would find its way through the fuel system and clean it up, but no luck with just adding the Diesel Kleen to the tank. It still stalled. I let it sit overnight and tried it again the next day. It still stalled when the gas pedal was released. So, I removed and replaced the fuel filter with the water separator on the bottom. The old filter was pretty dirty and there was gunk in the water separator. BEFORE REINSTALLING I FILLED THE NEW FILTER WITH DIESEL KLEEN. I started it up and let it idle for five minutes to give some...

Coty in Mo: I have used it now for 3 tankfuls and it makes a noticeable difference in both easier starting and maintaining speed up long grades with a full load. I have a 2009 Dodge Sprinter that was beginning to take 3-5 seconds of turning over before it started in good weather whereas it use to only take 1-2 seconds. After just halfway through the first tank, it went back to how it use to run with quick starts and smooth idle. And it does feel peppier now and actually handles long steep grades with a full load better now than it ever has before or even when new. The Interstate speed limit around here is 70 and I could have cruise control set at 74 with a load and A/C on and by the time I reached the top of some of the large hills it would drop to about 65-66 and the transmission would have already dropped to 3rd gear and the engine was screaming at me. Now the same hill, temperature and load conditions it may slightly waver a little bit but roughly maintains the set speed and only drops to 4th gear and is more relaxed. Fuel economy has always been a Sprinter highlight and I use to think getting 18.6 mpg in a 25 ft long, 9 foot tall vehicle weighing 4 tons was good. These...

MrEd: Using this in a 2008 Mercedes Benz ML 320 CDI. Bought new, we put 43,000 miles on the car before I started using this stuff. Car was running a little rough, even after changing the turbo filters, and the mileage had decreased. Put this stuff in just before a 260 mile round trip - all interstate. Ran at 70-75 mph. Very noticeable improvement. Engine ran smoother and quieter. Seemed to have more responsiveness and power. Mileage was slightly better on the way back.

Have also started using this in my 2012 Jetta Sportwagen TDI at 25,250 miles. Again, quieter and smoother running. Too early to tell about mileage. Will report back in a couple of weeks on that, and any other measured improvements in the Benz.

I use WalMart (Murphy Oil) fuel in both cars - 10-15 cents a gallon cheaper than any other place in our area (Wilmington, NC) if you use their credit card. Can't tell what the cetane rating is in this fuel (not stated on the pump,) and Murphy won't say because it varies according to which of the several refineries they get their stuff from. Likely just barely over 40 cetane.
