Portable Neck Fan with Built-in Reading Light by FortMaunt

Christ-redeems: I found this cooling neck fan ingenious. Brand by FORTMAUNT.
The flexible neckband is great, my only drawback is that the flex is not a solid hold.
The wind flow and coolness is nice. It is comparable to a natural heavy breeze.
Do not expect cold wind from this device especially in hot weather, it is a fan and acts as such.
The lights are a wonderful addition. I don't use them much thus far, but I like the feature.
It is relatively light weight and very easy to use. One button switching through all four modes.
I purchased this in early July, 2022 (reviewing Oct. 7,2022) and have not had to recharge it yet. TO BE FAIR, I've only used the fan twice for about 30 minutes or so, but I expected the battery would do a natural drain even without use in a couple of months. The jury might be out on this point (about the battery use), since I am not the most tech-savvy about these things
I RECOMMEND THIS FAN.

Bob Allen: It certainly is portable, since you wear it. I would not call it noisy, as it is barely audible to others, especially at low speed. However, you do use it close to your ears, so there is "fan" noise, mostly from the wind. The 4th speed is variable, simulating outdoor wind. That is pretty cool, and I like it better than a steady wind. The lights are a handy addition. One drawback: there is a slight vibration, which can be a bit uncomfortable against your chest.

Lindsey Ward: I got this little guy because I’m in a hot building for 8 hours doing various levels of work intensity and it is a blessing. It has four settings which is fantastic. I usually use it on the lowest setting but sometimes use it on the highest and it’s great. It isn’t heavy and doesn’t get in my way while I work. My only gripes are 1) I turn the light on a lot, 2) it doesn’t stay turned inward like I’d prefer, and 3) there are no vents across the back neck area.

DorisMDorisM: What a great product! This handsfree neck fan with lights is great. Out of the package (bad picture) 1 shows package which is easy to open. There is a tab at the bottom to grasp the cardboard back and remove it) The second picture shows what is on the back of the package. The third picture shows the charging cord and where it is plugged in. The 4th picture shows the flexible neck area. The 5th picture shows the light along with the turning knob. The Last picture shows the written instructions that come inside the package.
There are 4 speeds for the fan which are controlled by the same button. Short presses change the speed. Long press will turn it on or off. The lights are controlled separately using the side knobs. There is an on and off button. The neck area can be moved to contour your neck for comfort. The arrows in the picture indicate the area that can be moved. In addition there are a couple of openings on the side so hot air can escape. I make jewelry. I especially like the lights for that because I can use the lights to shine on my little beads so I can see them better. I live in the desert and this neck fan will be well used.

J. Kay: Pros: 3 speeds, a reading light, comfortable flexible material, no chemical smell
Cons: no indicator of how much battery is left and noisy on a higher speed
The manual mentions that it needs to be charged for 2 hours but not how long it lasts.
I gave it to a hiker to try and he said the noise is too much to walk with it but it could be used in certain situations like hot, humid weather and using the light in the dark (though they all have headlamps). He also praised the material and said "whatever it's made of, it's really good - flexible and not irritating against the skin."
The feel is not cheap or flimsy. It can be used in situations where a mild noise from a working motor doesn't matter - not in a classroom or a library but either outside or inside where other people won't mind.
