Yep I’ve landed several fish on it. The only upgrade I would recommend is the reel (that’s just a recommendation) the other reels seems like it would work just fine.

Chazzic: Good fishing rod, sensitive tip, sturdy.
I thought this pole was going to feel flimsy and I thought eyes would break easy but it held up. For the price you get what you pay for. I admit I broke the top eye but that's cus I tried to lift a 2lb fish up off the rocks. Other than that this pole is pretty good.

Alex Martyn: Reel seat became completely seized so I could not tighten the reel completely or remove it. Had to resort to using a wrench which caused the reel cleat to snap as it's just made from cheap plastic. You get what you pay for I suppose. I would recommend paying a little more and getting an actual rod.

RavenRaven: I like everything about this pole. It collapses small enough to fit in the tackle bag. It takes a little practice to get the hang of extending it and getting the rings lined up properly. It comes with a hard plastic end protector to keep everything together during transport. We've been fishing with it several times. It's holding up fine with no issues. My husband, sons, and their buddies (avid fishermen) all checked it out and liked it too. Last time out, we each caught our limit on trout. 5 of the bad boys pictured were caught with this pole. For the price, you can't lose!

RodJK: We bought two of these as my wife and I enjoy fishing and they are great to just leave in the vehicle for times we get the urge to fish without too much planning.
The poles are sturdy and have held up well. We bought the first set over a year ago and just recently bought a second set for our boys to use.
Casting is easy and smooth. The reels are solid and have a sturdy feel to them.
With all telescoping rods, you need to be careful extending/retracting them as that is the time they are most likely to have issues. If you are careful, you should get good use out of them.
We found these to be well worth the price and would highly recommend them to others.
