Lori: This is a nice, high quality product. I have several of this style of cotton, reversible rugs in my home in various places. This one is thick, and was easily washed with no excess color or fiber loss. I wish they had more sizes, because I would buy from this company exclusively.

NessaMia: I looked long and hard to replace my chenille kitchen runners and mats, which I loved for the plushness and absorbency. However, I didn't consider that, being in the kitchen, they would require much more regular washing than the ones in the bathroom, which presented a number of problems. First was the fact that they became considerably heavier in the wash due to the increased absorption so they actually broke my washing machine, which pained me deeply, lol. Also, the rubber backing kinda shrinks in the dryer to boot, so they became a mess to lay back down. Very expensive lesson! So I bought a new washer/ dryer (Electrolux front loaders, gotta have a matching set. Sigh) and set out to look for new kitchen mats that didn't present these problems.

After eons looking for replacements and reading oodles of reviews, I settled on these and they were the right choice for me. They are thick, absorbent, and wash beautifully. I said a prayer and put two of the long runners and one of the mats that goes at the foot of the fridge in the washer, and hoped the best. 2 girl mom: This rug is very nice, very thick and extremely soft and absorbent. I wouldn't be surprised if my dog decides this is his new favorite place to nap. The color is a rich deep brick color, which is perfect with the "3 cows" shower curtain for a whimsical farmhouse look.

The only downside is that, not surprisingly, it was too heavy for my front loading washing machine. I had to remove it during the spin cycle, manually wring it out a bit, then I threw in 3 fluffy pillows with it, and my washer could finally spin. Lots of color bleed but that was expected as well. No fuzz came off in the wash, but plenty of lint in the dryer filter which is also expected. After washing the drying the rug looks beautiful! Needless to say, next time I'll take it to a laundromat! Since it's reversible, I expect I won't need to wash this too often.

CJ: I was a little concerned with some of the reviews, especially since I thought the price was a little high. It did have a strange odor when it arrived so I followed the instructions and washed it on gentle in cold water, then dried it and did not use high heat. It shed, lots of lint in the dryer screen, and there were 3 or 4 threads that needed to be clipped before I put it dow. If you've ever bought this kind of rug before you'd know that it's normal. Every time it's washed there will be less lint. This rug is nice and thick, quite absorbent, and soft under my feet. I bought the taupe runner but it looks more like a light olive green which also works with the colors I have. I couldn't be happier with my purchase unless of course the price was a little less. I took a star off for the price, odor, and color but I am quite happy with my purchase.
