Mark J: Worked right out of the wrapper, no need to charge. It says Plantronics on it, I didn't think it would be an actual Plantronics but who knows? Some of these batteries are fatter and don't fit in the headset properly but this one fits perfectly. I guess that is what Amazon means when they asked me to rate "sheerness". Battery life- well I won't know for a while but so far as good or better on holding a charge than any of the others I've used over the past few years so I gave it a 5 on battery.

Lady Lock: I had the same headset for years and I just purchased new batteries for the old one, but the headset would no longer work properly and I wanted to replace it with the same (which is discontinued). BackupBob: Our aging Plantronics headset would not hold a charge. This new battery, which is original equipment and not a "works with" equivalent, lets us use the headset for hours, not minutes. Installation is a pain due to the small size of the headset and the way the battery connector is located but this is a design issue, not a problem with the battery.
My only complaint is that Amazon threw the very small envelope with the battery into the box with some very large items. I thought that bar code was related to shipping and only when I took the box apart to recycle it did I realize there was a product inside. A bright red sticker on the bag would be helpful since the bag is so small.
