Paige: I love these bags! Especially because they are earth friendly and have handles. The handles make them easier to tie up! I have a pitty mix so she takes big poos so I do wish the bags were wider so that they when she has the really big ones - I don't fret.

Ellen Cooper: Good = fully compostable, long handles. Bad = Should have different color "almost empty warning" on the next to last bag. No one likes to be caught empty handed on a longer, multi-poop walk.

DCW: We like these bags, buy them regularly, and like the company. Sometimes, though, we get a whole box of bags that fall apart when we try to use them (which can cause some unpleasantness). Probably related to their desirable biodegradability, maybe some batches get overheated or something.

L. Brown: Very pleased with these poo bags. They are large and strong and easy to open from the roll. Trying to find truly eco-friendly bags is a nightmare but I think I've solved the problem now and will reorder this brand.

Nikistix: Very long bags, but they need to be wider; these are too narrow for my size 8 hands.

Beeny: I wanted poo bags which were properly compostable, on a roll with handles. These fit the bill perfectly and are long and nice and sturdy. Lots of brands have names which make them look as though they are Eco-friendly e.g. 'Earth Rated' but they are not and are made from/contain plastic. These Planet Poop bags are made from plant based materials and are certified compostable (to ASTM D6400 and EN 13432 standards). If you care about the environment then make sure you buy 'compostable' not plastic or just 'oxo-biodegradable' bags.

Petey: I love these bags. They actually breakdown in an above-ground backyard compost! I’m so happy I don’t have to keep digging holes around my yard to bury dog poo and poo bags.
A few tips for those wishing to compost these bags:
1. Always add a sufficient amount of “brown” material when poo is tossed in your compost. Shredded paper and non-clumping pine or paper cat litter have worked great for me, as they soak up moisture emitted from the poo, detract flies and other insects, and help reduce nasty smell.
2. Try not to knot the bags when tossing them in your compost pile. I’ve noticed that when knotted, the bags take longer to breakdown.
3. Toss in other “green” materials along with poo and bags, like kitchen scraps and grass clippings. This will help heat up your compost pile and speed up the breakdown process of the bags.
4. When possible, turn your compost often (once a week). And always make sure dog poo and poo bags are covered by brown material or finished compost. This will help reduce smell and improve the composting process.
These bags are strong and large enough to hold a massive amount of poop. The handles are so nice....
