HDldy: My grandpup is an aggressive chewer during play and every other toy I have bought for him is literally destroyed in less than an hour. Not this one! I am very impressed! And the different layers of rubber around it makes it bounce every which way, he really loves it. I highly recommend.

Michelle R.: I purchased one of these balls about 15 years ago for my yellow lab I had at the time. It lasted him his whole life. It was his favorite toy.
My husband and I got a chocolate lab puppy last year and we decided to get him one of these balls too. He is very destructive with every toy and ball he has ever gotten. He only plays with this ball now and he has had it for a couple of months. He has been unable to do any damage to it and he gets so much enjoyment everyday from playing with it.
I highly recommend this ball, especially it you’re unable to find toys that with hold up to your dog’s chewing.

Jennifer Anton: My 3 year old lab is a ball hound and a power chewer. This is his absolute favorite ball and its still perfectly in tact after months of fetch and chewing! This brand was recommended by a behaviorist we've worked with as a less abrasive option to tennis balls. I had no idea how durable it would be, so worth the money. If/when it does wear out I will definitely buy another.

LaLise F: She has already figured out how to either roll it along the floor and let it bump against the walls to dispense a treat or bump it against our feet - not just so it dispenses a treat, but also to get our attention to throw it. She knows when it is thrown and bounces, it will give her a treat. Perfect size for her little jaws to chew on and carry around (she is a 15-month chihuahua who weighs 6.5 pounds). I call it her "treat toy" and she knows to bring it to me if I can't easily see the toy (for instance if it has rolled under tables or furniture). If it does not rattle, I fill it up with her favorite treats and she is happy to push it along the floors for the next hour or so.

Northern Ontario, Canada: This would function well as a smaller tug toy if the rope attached was significantly longer.
This toy has a nice slightly squishy ball that can be easily gripped by a dog and compressed enough to satisfy the urge to chew. My large breed dog enjoys biting down on the ball but seems more interested in pulling apart the woven rope. Of course this is NOT a chew toy, it’s for interactive play, so my puppy is never left unsupervised with the toy. The ball is just large enough for him. He can get it completely in his mouth and seems to like the feel of this rubber, and the fact that the ball gives a little when he bites down. It’s quite difficult to maintain a grip on the short rope when he’s actively trying to tug because there’s not much surface to hold on to.
I purchased the same ball & rope toy from Planet Dog several years ago. It was the two tone globe ball and the rope had the same weave but was thicker and a lot longer. The rope for my older tug toy failed (outer layer torn from fibres of the elastic core) because the rope consists of nylon threads woven around an elastic base. A dog’s teeth can easily snag this material and pull the outer threads away.
