Installed this in my 1999 Jeep Wrangler. Installation is straight-forward if you have ever installed a head unit. It is easy, and if you don't know how to do it, look at YouTube. I love the way this unit works...settings are very easy, simple to set up your stations, audio controls, etc. Source button basically toggles you through Tuner and Auxiliary. When set to aux, you put in the CD and it plays. Will play regular CDs and also MP3 CDs. It says it will also play WMAs but I don't use them, so cannot confirm. Some of the negative reviews say that the display is too dim, but honestly I cannot imagine what they are talking about. The display is bright and easy to read. You can dim the display, but as far as I can tell the dimming is minimal. Several sound and equalizer adjustments can be made, and I am very pleased with the sound. I think that if you have decent speakers, the sound from this unit will be fine...I am very pleased. Just installed the unit today...will see how it holds up with regard to quality, but so far it has beat my expectations.

Open N. Honest: My player in my 2000 Toyota 4Runner bit the dust so I needed a replacement. Here's what I wanted....

1. Good sound. I had realistic expectations that it wasnt going to sound like the ultimate Best Buy display model, but I wanted it to have a nice, thick, full-bodied sound.

2. Easy to use.

3. Easy to install.

4. High quality both in materials and appearance.

And here's what I got with the Pioneer DEH-150MP

+ Sounds great. Much better than the factory system. If you push the system a bit, the base fades out and the mids and highs take over, but that's to be expected without a separate woofer.

+ Easy to use. There are all kinds of options and adjustments that are easy and MOSTLY intuitive. It even has a magnifying glass icon that allows you to scroll through the tracks on cds (names included) without advancing the disk until you press ok. Neat feature. However, my biggest gripe is WHERE IN THE WORLD IS THE OFF BUTTON??? You will most definitely have to refer to the manual to discover how to turn it off. Not a big deal but there is nothing that indicates how to turn it off on the actual display. Kind of odd. Overall though, easy enough...

BlueSkyMike: GREAT performance, a wide variety of features, sharp appearance, and easy installation are definitely high points for this unit!

I have been a professional in the automotive service business for over 40 years, and I just could not believe how GREAT this unit sounds. It puts out great high, midrange, and bass frequencies equally well. With its multiple equalizer and bass boost settings it provides incredibly rich, full range, quality sound at a price (about $60) that just seems impossible to beat.

Although you will need to read up on all of its various settings and adjustments to "dial in" exactly what you want in the way of your own particular musical experience, it'll be well worth your time investment. The aux input jack is another great feature that lets you update your vehicle to easily connect an iPod or any other sound device up to it using a standard headphone mini-plug. The remote control that is included is also a nice touch even if you don't use it much.
