The amount of power, loudness and bass this stereo comes with, you don't need an amplifier. Be careful, it might just blow your speakers. It's easy to connect, very responsive, and POWERFUL!

michael miller: Nice upgrade for a 19 year old truck (2002 F250). The installation is a little time consuming, but there are plenty YouTube videos on the installation process. Once it's, spend some time with it (obviously) There are a lot of features, especially if you are coming from stock radio or older headunit. You can calibrate each speaker level, bandpass slopes, etc. There is a lot.
Apple Carplay is really nice too. All the things you need while on the road. The radio is a hair slower outside of Carplay, but nothing that really hinders its function.
The backup camera function works well and as expected. There are various things you can do to make it more or less automatic, like if you wire it to a switch, to use the camera while driving.

Brock P.: As long as you have a wire harness for your vehicle, it’s very simple to hook up.
The apps on the screen are kind of slow, but i use it for CarPlay and it’s fine. the colours are a bit off, but i bought it for Carplay, not for the pictures

drcool56: I bought this for a 1988 Pontiac fiero. Took the old radio out, had to figure out the wiring, but everything worked great. The old antenna needed an adaptor which I found in the old radio. If you don’t have that, you might have to search a little to find the right one. But it is out there, the Bluetooth is fast to connect easy to control and the radio is great. Controls are very easy to use, and it is easy to program. I bought a different radio for my Jeep that is harder to set up and use. Very satisfied with this system. Sound is great.

Matt TMatt T: I replaced my old Pioneer navigation unit (AVIC F900BT) so I feel I can compare a pretty similar old unit to new.

Touch screen is very responsive. It loads very quickly compared to my old one, but maybe slightly slower than a factory unit with the same features. Sound quality is good (I have amped aftermarket Infinity Components and Subwoofers). That also means I need a sophisticated EQ. This one has more adjustments than I need, but it is pretty intuitive if you know what you are doing. If you don’t, the stock options will be fine for most.

On my last unit, my calls dropped when I turned the car off, now it does not. This may have been a iPhone issue on my last HU but that is a big improvement regardless. Calls are crystal clear when phone is connected through USB. On Bluetooth only, it isn’t as good, but no worse than many other Bluetooth HU’s or piggy back devices I have used over the last 20 years. Audio sounds just as good over Bluetooth as if connected by USB.

CarPlay works as I expected, I don’t have anything positive or negative to say about it, other than it works.
