The PIONEER DJ DDJSB3 DJ Controller is the perfect choice for DJs seeking a high-quality controller. This black controller offers excellent build quality, superior performance, easy setup, and long-lasting sturdiness. Whether you're a novice or a professional, the DDJSB3 will meet your needs and exceed your expectations. Get ready to rock the house with the Pioneer DJ DDJSB3 DJ Controller!

RudraRudra: The media could not be loaded. I gifted my Professional DJ brother this piece of beauty and he is in love in love with his Pioneer DDJ SB3.
So much so that I writing a review on his behalf.
It is an awsome product with great access to various features which are not available in most of the entry level Controller's.
Built quality is A1,
NOTE: Comes with Serato Lite and NOT THE SERATO PRO VERSION. But I have tried to work my way through the lite version as well and should not be a difficulty for aspiring artist's.
I am a little dissapointed with the Serato Lite option because an entry level artist too needs access to more cue's and effects which is currently not included along the Player.
Also, a little word for the people who think that DDJ's is "JUST ANOTHER MUSIC PLAYER", I am sorry to dissapoint you but these are professional mixers for Digital Jockey's and not an MP3 player for any house parties. Please respect the game and stop fooling yourself and spreading wrong knowledge about such things.
A little practice and learning will make sure that you can do exactly same things with this SB3 that you can do with...

Rajdeep B.: This is a killer device... Just fell in Love with this Product... You get more than everything you want as a Beginner DJ...
You can also use it when you become Pro...
Pros of the Controller:-
FX Section is Awesome
Pads has a lot of features
Nice Big Jog Wheels and Pads
The only -ve sides I found of this Controller:-
I don't like the Looping Buttons or the Loop System... I wish if it had CDJ type Looping function but for that you've DDJ-400
I do not like the length of the Tempo fader it's a short, could have been longer (DDJ-400 has longer one)
It dosen't come with a Pro Software out of the Box, unlike 400...
But!!!
These negative sides are Absolutely not a Deal Breaker...
SB-3 is more of a Hip Hop focused Controller
where you can Scratch manually or with Jazzy Jeff's Pad Scratch Button (This Function you'll exclusively get in SB-3 Only), of course you can use it too party hard and play some EDMs
&
DDJ-400 this Controller is more focused on Club Culture and Festivals...
Of Course you can Scratch on this Controller too...
Overall Both are Very Hard Machines with their own Uniqueness...

Kathryn: Made the switch to a controller after DJing in so many bars & clubs that offered beat up, broken gear. Why not bring my own and be sure it works, right?
But there’s no way I’m going to bring my own 1200s, mixer, needles, CDJs, etc to a bar so the next DJ can spill their tequila shot on it!
But I didn’t want to spend a lot right away, just in case I hate using a controller.
I don’t!
It’s light weight, easy a heck to use, and very responsive (I use it w a 2019 MacBook w 8gb Ram)
I like the 1/8th in headphone jack. Don’t need to worry about again forgetting/losing the 1/8th to 1/4th inch headphone adapter.
Cons:
-The scratch effect is kind of a useless feature.
-I wish it had 1/4th inch and/or XLR outputs other than just RCA.
-I also wish it had another output source for monitors.
But for the price, it’s great!

Stefan: Having had a lot of free time this pandemic this was one of the first items I purchased. A lot of my friends had controllers and for the price this one stands out. Pioneer makes quality gear. While you might find competitor brands that offer similar features for less price I guarantee you they won't be as good or hold up like this deck has. Personally I would only have considered a Roland controller instead but your choice will likely come down to what is more important for you. If you like to be able to easily create your own beats or add your own elements to songs then Roland is going to be a better choice for you. However if you are more into being able to create something more I would recommend the Pioneer. Both are great and can do the same things each favours one side of the coin to the other.
This was super easy to setup and start using. It integrates well with any number of software out there so no worries about getting tied down to something you don't like to use. Additionally I have found this works great for mixing and even recording not just your own sets but it can work double duty to help you with certain aspects of studio production. Need backing tracks, need...

Michael Black: Look, I'll be honest, I didn't expect much after reading the negative reviews on here. I'm just a dude that wanted to learn something new and hopefully make a little extra money on the side. I saw things like the lights don't come on when they plug it into the computer; mine did. I read that it felt like a cheap plastic toy; that's false. The jog wheels were very responsive. They didn't feel like a fidget spinner but it didn't feel like a bearing that had dirt in it. Smooth but with enough resistance that it felt like I was doing something. ALL of the lights worked, and so did the buttons. I use it with Virtual DJ and it took a minute to figure out that you had to turn all of the knobs to their lowest settings before VDJ would recognize them. I use bluetooth headphones so getting my program to push sound to the correct device was a pain in the ass, but once I got it working, I was impressed. I scratched a little, i mixed a little, I fiddled with it. I am very happy with it and I'm glad I made the purchase. Although, if I had to give any real feedback, it's that I wish Pioneer would have included at least a soft case for it. I don't like the idea that I have to spend another $40 on...

Abim O: This is my first time learning to DJ and I am not disappointed at all. I spend hours on it every day and learning all what it can do from youtube.
For the price I still wonder if I had bought a cheap controller I would still get as much out of it. Maybe this will change as I get better. Have not upgraded to Serato DJ pro yet but I still get a lot out of Serato DJ lite. Another feature that got me was Serato being able to be linked with Tidal so I don't have to look for places to download music.
Also if you are a total beginner you should order this with the output cable for a speaker. I got a RCA cable to an aux. If you don't have a speaker to start with, you can start off with using your computer as a speaker but then you will not be able to use the headphone jack at the same time to mix in songs.

clavius: I did a lot of research before going for this deck. Go much cheaper and you're getting inferior quality construction and fewer functions and inferior design; go higher and you could be paying for things you're not going to use and you lose portability.
I've been mixing/dj-ing for 20 years and had a good idea of what I needed and what I wanted. Not having to lug vinyl around was what finally made me look seriously at these things. The Numark controllers at the same kind of price are worth looking at, and there's a Roland with drum sequencer that I liked the sound of. In reality though sequencing on it sounds like it's a slow nightmare, and I have my Roland MC-505, so I don't think I would have ended up using it. I liked the idea of the Numark that displays the BPM on each channel, but seeing as this is already prominently displayed on any software you'll use it's really just a gimmick. I originally bought a Numark, but changed to, and stayed with, this Pioneer because I preferred the build quality, design and functionality.
They are in the minority, but I saw a few reviews that flagged up potential problems which made me hesitate on getting this. Some of these things...

Chris Bach: Lots of feelings about this unit.
As a controller, I like it; it was what I was looking for control-wise. The layout is familiar, and most controls can be mastered if you spend some quality time reading and experimenting.
The faders are quite light, with little resistance to movement. This is convenient for abrupt changes, but feels cheap. The tempo fader in particular on the right half also isn't mounted well and slants to the side, adding to the cheap feel. All bottom pads are the same color on this unit, while on the more expensive decks they are a variety of colors, which really would aid in operation and hardly add cost to the unit. Seems a stupid way to differentiate product pricing tiers (this is one of the cheapest models in the line), but Serato does the same thing to a greater degree (more on that in a minute). The platters feel sufficiently hefty so I'm glad at least that feels like it has decent construction and quality of material there. Time will tell. Knobs and pads feel just fine.
Serato has a clever scheme which only allows their software to output to a sound card in a Serato-branded controller. No using this controller for only control with...
