Janet: The fly trap is overall pretty good. However, do not hang anywhere close to a wall. The glue will transfer to the wall. I hung one on my back porch around the light fixture....the glue transfered to the wall. I hung one in the middle of the porch....no problems. Works wonderful and you don't have to touch it too get rid of it.

Bargain Hunter: Be careful not to let the fully-extended sticky ribbon touch anything, including your hands, or else you'll need to scrub the mess off with a good paper towel and water. It is SUPER STICKY and serves the purpose of attracting and catching flies...once they land on the strip, they are stuck and soon die. Not overly malodorous, so, no problem there, but some flies take longer than others to land on it. Nine hanging strips hung throughout my apartment -- far out of reach of family pets -- successfully got rid of my early summer fly infestation, though, it took several weeks (after new flies hatched).
