jld: I Iove Phisoderm Products. I did NOT like how this was Shipped. It was NOT tamper sealed/wrapped like some of my previous orders—so it had some leaking because lid was lifted. I suggest you do shrink wrap future shipments.

Sakura: I cannot give a thorough, long-term review on this body wash yet but after three uses it seems to be doing its job to an okay point. I have Keratosis pilaris on my upper thighs and also deal with ingrown hairs from shaving due to how sensitive my skin is, so if I use any other body wash I look like a dang strawberry from the waist down. It seems like products with salicylic acid help me, and because CeraVe's product is suddenly hard to find anywhere I had to find an alternative (and better, one that was affordable so I wouldn't have to spend $10 on a small bottle).

All of that said I'm liking this so far. It's scented which I could honestly go without (but I wouldn't mind assuming it doesn't end up being an irritant to my skin), and its consistency is really... watery I guess, so if you tip the bottle down to pour onto your loofah/hand/washcloth you'll want to be really careful with the amount that spills out. Again I have only been able to use this a few times since purchasing but I've noticed my legs are clearing up again and they don't look as bad when I'm done shaving (and after I've applied lotion to them of course).

Happy Amazonian: There is no equal to Phisoderm - I've looked, and continue to look for years now. My mom started me on this when it was sold as a surgical cleanser called "Phisohex" in the 60's.
- You have sensitive skin - use this.
- You have a rash or blisters - use this.
- Don't want to use soap? Use this.
- Have a bug bite? Use this with a light abrasive sponge to let it get inside the bite. Wash, rinse, wash again & leave it on for a few mins, then rinse.

This is the ONLY cleanser that stops itching, but only IF I clean a bite prior to spreading the poison by scratching. For spider bites you must break the little blister & let the Phisoderm do its work. It works very well on mosquito & chiggers if you clean before scratching & gently abraise the skin.
Yes, it works well for clogged pores & blemishes too, but it needs to get under the skin, so works best with a buff puff type sponge.

ONLY downside is I can't find it in stores anymore; however, this is a good price. Stock up!

Katy: This Phisoderm body wash has a nice, clean smell that is gender neutral. It leaves me feeling clean, but it hasn't been the magical cure-all for the worst of my problems. Still, I have found that it works better than most body washes that I've tried and has helped clear up my skin. The consistency is thinner than many other washes I've used, so you have to be careful to not waste the product when putting it on a sponge or loofa. There is no safety seal on the bottle when I've ordered it, so both times I've ordered this item from Amazon there has been some leakage. The first time there was a plastic bag around the bottle, but the second the bottle was placed loosely in a box with a DVD that I had ordered, which had some product on the outer packaging by the time it reached my doorstep. So word to the wise, if you're ordering anything that you wouldn't want a little body wash on, it might not be a bad idea to run them as separate transactions!

LD: Good product but not sure if it helps in reducing existing back acne. However it's gentle enough to use everyday.

Savannah: I use this on my shoulders, back, and chest during every shower to treat and prevent acne. I've been using it for around two months now. I had angry, fresh acne on my shoulders when I first began using it, and I saw improvement within a week of use. Now all of the angry acne is gone, and all that's left are the small, less noticeable red bumps that seem to stay no matter what. No new pimples have shown up in any of the places I've been using the wash, and the old stuff seems to be fading a little bit every day.

What really surprised me when I first used this was the texture of the wash. It's very oily and it does not lather or soap up like most other washes. This somewhat turned me off at first, but now I am used to it and it feels nice on my skin. It also has a very neutral, quiet smell that doesn't seem to hang around after you've rinsed it off.

As I said, I've been using it almost every day for two months, and I've only used a very small portion of the bottle. A half a tbsp amount is plenty for my back, shoulders, chest, and neck. I think that the bottle will last a long time, making this a very good product for the price.
