Hell019: I have the last gen one, I bought this one for my parents. It works well. It has two nature tones and radio instead of a buzzer. (No buzzer option). It is also finger sense tech, so there is no audio click sounds and works by touch, if that bothers any. I may upgrade mine in the future, and would tecommend it.

Michael: TLDR -> Only had it for one night but it seems to work.

Pros:
Very bright.
Alarm noises are pleasant and not too jarring.
Extremely easy to use interface.
Did wake up without feeling exhausted.

Cons:
Felt a bit cheap (again, light electronics don't feel sturdy to me so it's strictly personal preference here).
Setting brightness for night lamp use seems to affect alarm brightness.
Only one night of testing so far.

-------------
I tend to be up pretty late in, usually asleep between 12 - 1 in the morning. I have tried setting multiple alarms on my phone and smart watch to wake me up but it seems like I turn them off in my sleep. Most of the time I wake up with enough time to get ready for work but one recent evening I couldn't fall asleep until 3:30 in the morning and missed a morning meeting. Enter this alarm clock.

When I first opened the package and pulled out the device it honestly felt a little cheap. The plastic didn't seem high enough quality and it felt very light (I tend to think lighter things feel less sturdy than heavier so take this with a grain of salt). I turned on the device...

Matt: Wakes me up every morning slowly without the need for an annoying beeping alarm.

Rey: Great SAD light. Easy to use compared with my previous Lumi. Unfortunately no AU compliant power cable. Would have given it 5 stars otherwise.

Robert: The price premium over the older model is justified. Every issue I've seen in reviews of similar products have all been addressed. Sound and light are independently toggleable. Both can be set at 10 levels of intensity. The nature sounds fooled me the first morning, I thought it was real birds. The time display is bright by default but can be dimmed significantly or turned off if it disturbs your sleep.

The product is very elegant. The buttons work like a touch screen.

This alarm clock has genuinely had a great impact on my sleep. I used to wake up tired and feel tired all day. Now I wake up refreshed and with more energy throughout the day.

I love the alarm clock, but there are some cons. It is quite bright but it doesn't exactly light up the room, so it's recommended to place the clock near your head on a nightstand. This alarm clock more prepares you for waking up rather than actually and abruptly waking you up, so use a secondary traditional alarm clock if you must wake up at a certain time.

Donivan: I absolutely love this. I found it very difficult (and annoying) to get up using conventional alarms or my phone, and this was the answer.

It has a 30 minute wake-up cycle and will sound an alarm or the radio at your set alarm time. I usually wake up 5-10 minutes before the sound goes off.

Pros:
- Light is very bright, at full brightness it will light up the entire room!
- Radio setting is a nice alternative to an alarm sound
- Compact, it is smaller than a desk lamp which is nice as it doesn't take up a whole lot of room!
- It is much more relaxing and pleasant to wake up gradually with light rather than an alarm clock
- Having the sound as a failsafe to wake up is great. There are times where I wake up under the covers and wouldn't have woken up to the light
- Can be used as a lamp with an adjustable brightness
- Can be used as a radio

Cons:
- The time illumination can't be disabled. It can, however, be dimmed and it doesn't bother me at the lowest setting (if you need complete darkness, electrical tape will block the light)
- Can't disable sound. This would be nice for weekends when I don't necessarily have to be...

mm: I read the other reviews pretty extensively before buying this, and almost all the drawbacks mentioned really are drawbacks. But in the end, what matters is whether it works for you, person considering buying it. I'm keeping mine, and I'll describe why by listing the shortcomings:

1) Settings remain at last adjustment: You can use the clock as a lamp whenever, and the lamp brightness is adjustable; but whatever you adjust it to while using it as a lamp, that's the maximum brightness it will come to the next time you use it as an alarm clock. So if you want maximum brightness in the morning (I do) but find that that's too bright for use as a reading lamp (it really kind of is), you'll have to readjust the brightness to alarm level before each time you turn it off as reading lamp. And the same goes for volume: if you want to use the radio independently of when you're waking up, whatever volume you adjust it to, that's the volume it'll wake you up at when your alarm next goes off. This is not ideal. You can either live with the inconvenience of constantly readjusting the settings, or you can do what I do: have a separate reading lamp next to it on your night...

Jen: Sleeper type: I am a relatively light sleeper and don't require large blaring alarms to wake me in the morning, so keep that in mind.

I bought this in the throes of winter because I was waking up absolutely miserable and terribly groggy. I reviewed a bunch of different ones, and Philips had the best reputation, so I waited for a sale and picked this one up at around 70 dollars.

The light is smaller than I thought - maybe 20cm across. It sits well on my stand without taking up too much space, and has a "bird sound", regular "alarm sound", and radio function.

Pros:
Definitely less groggy in the morning. The light comes on gradually, so when the actual alarm goes off you're not "startled" awake like with a traditional alarm. It won't make you less tired (only more sleep will save you there), but it'll make the wake-up gentler.

The bird sound is pretty repetitive but a nice alternative.

The brightness of the light and even the time display can be adjusted which is really nice. It makes a great bedside light as well before sleeping.

Relatively simple to use

Cons:
Obviously has no battery memory so if the power...
