Just a MomJust a Mom: I’m not sure if this giraffe has a name, but in our house we call him “Geoffrey”. Our son loves this pacifier, but is still willing to spit it out before falling asleep. We love that “Geoffrey” is there for cuddles and helps our son find his pacifier easily during nap time.

Erin Kiu, Blogger & Author at Fun & Holy: My baby loves the Philips avent pacificer that it comes with, but it doesn't help the pacificer stay in my baby's mouth. I thought part of the functionality was that the animal would help the pacificer stay in, but I've tried several times and the pacificer still falls out. My baby was a newborn about a month old when I tried it, so not sure if the animal helps the paci stay in for older babies, but I was disappointed it didn't help the paci stay in place more. Would highly recommend the philips avent pacificers though, my baby loves them!

Amazon Customer: I got my older niece and nephew the Mary Meyer Wubbanub because it came so highly recommended.

And although I'm sure it's great for NICU babies where you don't really need to think about how you're going to clean the pacifier long-term, I much prefer the Philips Avent Soothie.

Because unlike the Wubbanub, the stuffed animal is not sewn on, but detachable.
And therefore much easier to clean the soothie and stuffie separately.

The pacifier ended up being the only one my youngest nephew would accept, and the stuffed animal kept him from flinging the pacifier away from himself accidentally.

Bel Webb: Our baby would only use Philips avent pacifier . They are easy to find because of the color and I love that they don’t have more than one part that could detach, the simple design is perfect. We also have the elephant plushie and the giraffe is just a cute addition for the diaper bag. The plushies help keep the pacifier in place when baby is laying down on back. It has to be removed for sleeping tho so it’s useful to have extra soothies without plushies for bedtime.
Honestly I think they are too expensive for such a small plush toy, they are adorable but they are overpriced.

sayato: NICUで使っていたのでPhilipsのおしゃぶりを探していました。ぎりぎり3ヶ月で、サイズ変更も考えたのですが、ほかの方のレビューも参考に0～3ヶ月用を継続し、ひとつあれば回せそう。と考えて個数重視でこちらを購入しました。
本体は熟睡している時に取り外して消毒出来ますし、ぬいぐるみは洗濯機(マジックテープがあるのでネット使用)で洗えて便利です。何よりおしゃぶりが行方不明にならないのは助かります。
現在4ヶ月になりますが、ぬいぐるみを抱っこしておしゃぶりを吸っている姿はとてもかわいいです！
おしゃぶりは本人やお世話の仕方との相性もあると思うのですが、出産祝いのギフトにも使いたいなと思っています。
