Brady: This was an excellent replacement for the entire cartridge unit in a Pfister Single handle tub/shower faucet. If your tub spout is leaking, try replacing this. The rear D shaped o-rings are the ones that were shot on mine. Install was easy, good to go.

Pen Name: I don't like the Price Pfister brand because the insides wear out requiring replacement parts like this one. I'm on the third mixing unit for this fixture, and I just keep on buying replacements because it is cheaper and easier than removing the entire soldered-in fixture. If I was better at tracking my purchase history records, I could claim on warrantee (again and again), but I'm just not that organized. If you are like me and want a replacement part that fixes a problem on a budget and with easy installation, than this item is recommended. Else, a better brand of fixture is recommended.

Derek Steele: Does what it needs to do however after a while when all of the grease has washed out of the ceramic discs inside it becomes harder and harder to turn until it eventually locks up and won't fully close. Keep a spare on hand and the older unit can be disassembled and descaled in cleaning vinegar. Buy a tube of plumber's grease for 10 or 15 dollars and reuse swapping them out back and forth as needed. They are too expensive to replace every two years.
