liam maher: It's got a hair trigger sensor, so you have to face it away from anything your doing, but other than that it's worked great so far... a little too well in fact. It scared my cat so bad she took a vase with her on her mad scramble off the counter, but that's more my fault than the product

K: When my cat first came to us, she would bang on the bedroom door so loud it sounded like someone was breaking in. Every night. At all hours. We are very light sleepers so having her in the room wasn't an option.

It took several years of her having the consistent experience of being sprayed every time she tried to scratch the door, but she now no longer touches the bedroom door. As expensive as it was to keep using this product, we are very grateful for the results because now we can enjoy our cat without having to sacrifice our sleep or our sanity. Highly recommend this product if you're in a similar situation!

Sylvain: We really enjoyed the product at first. It kept the cats off of unwanted areas. Reason why we're giving a 3 star review is purely based on the longevity of the sensor. At worst we just thought our batteries died. But shortly after swapping the batteries, we didn't see any improvements. The product was great when it worked but with a 70$ price tag it's hard to recommend if it won't work in a month.

Nicola: This thing worked great, right up until my cat with no fear (only because he possesses 0 brain cells) taught the other cats that it’s nothing to be worried about. Now it’s useless, but that’s because of my cats not the product.

I do wish that the motion detection was more sensitive. Sometimes I’d wave my hand directly near the sensor and nothing would happen.

Also, this works with any air cans! No need to buy the ones that go with the product if you have another air can that you prefer or found for a more affordable price.

Alex Thompson, Wall 2 Wall Reviews: I'm giving it only 4 stars because, while it worked beautifully, it was short lived.

I have 3 cats. Two that are aggressive door attackers. One likes to jiggle the crap out of the door handle so much that I was actually looking for a finger print locker with no knob to stop her. While the other one digs so aggressively that he has torn up the carpet at the door (and he has no front nails) and given the first one ample room to shove her whole leg under the door in order to grab at it like a Monster from under your childhood bed!!!! And if that doesn't work to get my attention they then cry like dying seals for hours on end.

I would like to say that I can keep my door open and it be fine but they are all snoopy little monsters and have one occasion attempted to jump up onto my tv...that's attached to the wall.....

So I got this on the hopes it would work and omg did it work! I aimed it low and angled more towards my door so they wouldn't get a face full, but they stayed away! This kept them away even as the can was running out.

This is my only complaint. The can is too small. It needs to last longer. It was out after 5 days. This was with me shutting it...

Well, it is Christmas season again and I took the whole day to decorate my lovely Christmas tree. Some of my ornaments are expensive and others are older than I am and have great sentimental value. I have two young cats, brothers Parker and Sandy, who would just love to climb the tree and destroy it in no time flat. My100 pound dog, Bailey, would love to play with and maybe even snack on the glass ornaments if I were not watching him! I'm so worried he might actually eat one and get glass in his stomach. Then an emergency trip to the vet. Ugh! Not a jolly Christmas activity and it could very easily turn deadly for the poor unsuspecting dog. I've had other cat and dog mishaps with past Christmas trees and this year I was determined not to let it happen.

steph: Let's start with the results:
After about a week of use on the kitchen table, which had been a huge problem, the cat no longer attempts to jump on. She'll get her front half on the very edge of the table and try to reach for whatever interests her, but refuses to go any further, which I consider to be results. After about a week and a half of leaving the canister on the table, I removed it for a few days to test if she was able to make the connection between the canister and the hissing wrath of God and she still refused to get on the table. Keep in mind, however, that my cat is so dumb she can't open doors that are already partway open.

Bonus: The first few times she experiences the canister is are hilarious. Cats do fly.

Cons:
Functionality of the sensor is decent. Sometimes the sensor flubs up and doesn't trigger, but not often. I find it's usually immediately after I turn it on, I need to trigger it myself to make sure the sensor is working.

Attaching the canister to the sensor can be tricky, but once you figure it out it's not big thing. Always press the sensor straight down onto the canister firmly, and the locking ring should pull down relatively...

Mamafurfur - Jennifer Kempson: I have 2 cats. One of them is too smart. This device cannot outsmart my cat.

My cats love to wake people up in the morning. They like food. They like company. They don't like people to sleep in. In order to resolve this, they like to scrape at doors, jump up onto door handles to open doors, and purr into your face. I'm sure it sounds like a sweet thing for them to do, but no so much at 6am.

I bought one of these as a guard for the upstairs landing of my house. It worked great for a couple of days, until the smart cat worked out how to get around it. It was time to move it to somewhere else. Each move lasted a day or 2, before I found the range was not as good as I'd like, and the delay of the spray can be a little problematic.

Bring on spray number 2! Now, both bedrooms we wanted guarding have devices outside of the doors. The cats now avoid scraping the doors, and do not jump up at the door handles. However, most mornings, I do hear the sound of a spray going off, which means the cats are trying to work out a way to get around them again.

Ultimately, this is a great product. However, due to the way it is slightly delayed, and the range of sensitivity...
