Bernice Frazier: I bought this to replace another dog door and I love this door. I went to the manufacturer's website and purchased an extra insert. I feel much safer with this door that the prior door. During bad weather I use one insert for the outside facing side of the door and another insert for the inside. Using both inserts really helps keep out bad weather and protects the flaps from damage during bad weather. This is absolutely worth the price.

OrélOrél: remplace la chatière précédente qui ne servait qu'au chat (petsafe avec ouverture uniquement au chat qui a le collier avec le petit aimant). Celle-ci est plus isolante que la simple trappe à chat.
Elle sert maintenant aussi au chien (Berger australien : Taille L (en Aluminium)).
Installée entre le garage et le cellier : bien isolante. A surveiller si elle se ferme toujours correctement.
Le chat a compris le changement de trappe direct ! Le chien en quelques heures a compris aussi, juste une soirée et il passe tout seul.
Installation facile et rapide. Pour une porte en PVC de moins de 3,8 cm nous avons ajouté l'adaptateur comme recommandé et c'est parfait (juste un surcout : ajout de 29,99€).

Lucy: Is a little wide for my door. Yet trying it.. wind doesn't blow the flaps open. Less draft that single flap. As of now flaps don't go back to original position. Yet I think after the sides wear down it should (hoping). Like the metal frame. Plastic frame cracks even with out being used by a pet!

Bryan and Kristen Smith: I just installed this and it is really easy to do. The instructions are great and easy to follow.

One thing to note, we got the large which states 100 lbs. max. My entire family easily fit through this door and I am 180 lbs.

C.Stearns: It is everything that what was advertised. So much better than my older version which had only one flap. The only issue is it’s a little bit of adjustment for the dogs because there is a bit more resistance due to the extra flaps. They will adjust. The fact that it keeps out the wind and the cold is a big plus.

Francisco DiazFrancisco Diaz: Es una maravilla, tanto la gata como el perro de tamaño medio (french springer spaniel) lo usan, es perfecto. La tapadera que tiene de quita y pon para bloquear el paso es muy util.
Como contra es un poco ruidoso cuando es usado ya que funciona con imanes para que se quede bien cerrado.
Mi gata no tuvo problema al usarlo pero al perro que es mas asustadizo le costó un poco. Con paciencia y entrenamiento ambos lo usan ahora sin problema.

FarmerZita: This door has a metal frame, sturdy and square. It spans a 2” thick door, and of yours is a bit thicker, you can bridge the gap with white duct tape.

Three flaps do a great job of keeping heat from leaking on or out, and wind drafts. This is the most energy efficient door I’ve installed (out of six, over the years). Two outer doors are tough plastic that pets won’t destroy easily. One inner flap is softer and thicker, for insulation and to let the outer flaps move easily. The outer flaps protect the inner flap from damage. Very good design.

The inner and outer metal frames fit together perfectly. Ideal is still experimenting with end nuts for the long bolts that hold them together - no door maker has quite got that right yet, it seems. See pro tips below to make installation easier.

Pro tips:

- Use a circular saw (e.g. SkilSaw) to cut the opening. It’s easier to cut straight, square, and clean, than with a jigsaw - especially if you have a metal door. And you don’t have to drill those 1/2” corner holes.

- It’s ok if you saw past your marked corners about half an inch - the frame will cover that up.
