Petlinks Scratchers for Cats & Kittens: Carpet, Sisal, and Seagrass Options

CLDCLD: Our 2 beautiful black cats like to stretch before getting on the couch, which resulted in the 1st picture. We bought a couple of these hanging cat scratcher, cut off the handle, and used industrial staples to fasten the mats to the couch...
Results are 2nd picture.. it works and looks better than we thought.. ordered 4 more to cover rest of the damage .

David: This post is nice and tall with a wide base. When assembled its solid and sturdy. Time will tell how long it lasts, sisal doesn't last long with 4 cats, but I'm hoping the carpeted top section will be more durable. So far the cats are very pleased with it.

Peter: My cat loves this and usese it often. The problem is it only lasts about 6 months, and when I try to order a new one they are out of stock and I have to wait several months for a new one to arrive.. I just orered one on Oct. 9th and it won't arrive until maybe Dec. 12th. So much for being a Prime member!

Gang: Tres años después, acabo de comprar de nuevo este rascador para mi gatita, ya que es su favorito. El anterior está en muy buena condición de la madera, pero el sisal ya se rompió y me fue imposible encontrar un repuesto. Voy a intentar pegarle un pedazo de alfombra, pero no podía dejarla sin rascador en lo que hago mi proyecto DIY jeje

Lisa: I know that each animal is different so I've kept that in mind. My cat loves to scratch furniture and posts, etc. but this scratcher is not stable enough when it's being used. It seems heavy but moves around on the floor when my cat tries to use it. My cat lost interest right away. The little packet of catnip that's included is of no use either. What a waste of my money.

Ninja Neo: This is the second time I've bought it. The first one held up for a super long time! I have a cat that only sharpens his nails on this carpet-type material. This post specifically has saved my bed corners and couch corners. He doesn't care for the twine rope or cardboard and finding a decent tall post is hard to find. He immediately took ownership of the new one, he's so happy!

David Hanley: It lasted a few months, pole broke off base - maybe my three cats are just super fierce? They share four scratching posts among them, and this is the newest of them all and it just didn't even last more than a few months compared to the others I've had for a few years.

Catilin S.Catilin S.: Our cat loves this pole, we have it secured so it doesn’t topple over. The only negative thing about it is that you can’t just buy the top carpeted part separately. Our cat destroys it in a matter of weeks. We bought a whole new pole and just replaced the top part but it’s a huge waste to throw out the rest. I would love it if they would sell that part separate.

Alec Flexer: WE like that they are extra tall. We wish the carpet sections could be replaced as they tend to get shredded. Seems a shame to have to buy a new one when our cats tear up the carpet section but I guess that's just marketing.
