Austin: I'm glad I ordered this book. It showed up in good condition and the font size is very readable. The cover looks nice and I liked the message inside that talks about how it's published basically for the sake of the people and at cost. It doesn't yield any profits and in turn makes the book a lot more accessible for people like me. I feel that this is an extremely important book and a good starting point for many to take in these ideas. I have no complaints. Thank you to whoever is self-publishing this. I would purchase this again.

I will update my review if I come across any strange anomalies in the text (things like upside down letters, missing words/sentences, that kind of thing).

pen name: I am certain that Prince Kropotkin would have been pleased by this publication sans copyright. His argument against all forms of intellectual property (which clearly accords with his views on the undesirability of all types of property ownership) is well structured, and one of the more striking parts of this occasionally repetitive book.

The book itself is very reasonably priced, and, for that price, its physical characteristics are fine. The only physical anomaly is the sudden shift to a smaller font near the end of the book.

As to content, I found it bit uneven. Some passages were quite logical and argued in a concise fashion. Others seemed a bit muddier; certainly, as I observed earlier, there is a certain amount of repetition that struck me as unneeded, though I did not find any of it overtly tedious.

As I remarked earlier, I particularly found his stance on intellectual property a logical and consistent one. I thought some of the other stances he took were well thought out. Others I thought were naive and ahistorical. I largely agree with Stephen Jay Gould's view of Kropotkin, expressed in his essay "Kropotkin was no crackpot", that Kropotkin is clearly...

Sic: Why is this book so big. Letters dont need to be so big. I feel like an elderly person reading this

Punkin's Mommy: I recently listened to The Conquest of Bread as an audio book and really wanted a physical copy to study in depth. This version is very high quality for the low price. The cover has a lovely, almost velvety texture and the font is large enough to be comfortable for reading. This is a good introduction to Anarchist Communism. It is beautifully and intelligently written and still relevant today although it was written over 100 years ago. It filled me with a sense of hope that we can achieve a better world, that things don't have to be as they are now. Everyone should read this book!

Pierce Nienhaus: There is some debate in the anarchist sphere as to which book is the best for an introduction to anarcho-communism. Anarchy by Malatesta and Now and After by Berkman come to mind, but Kropotkin's Conquest of Bread is still a contender. It's not the most simple to read, but it is still the most thorough and explanatory and it comes from the OG himself. If you are an anarchist or interested in anarchist thought, get this book.

Paul Hicks: This is a really nice legit copy of the book. I figure if you are reading this you already kind of know what the book is about and all that. I just want to say this print to order copy of the book is really nice and legit. Something like you would find from Verso books I have written by Che Guevara and Bernie Sanders. The type that folds at the front cover and not at the spine. High quality and of course an important text to read during these times we are going through. My copy says it was printed on the 3rd of April and it's the 7th now and I have the book it's awesome! Thanks!

martygray: How sad it is that such great well-meaning thoughts are now so ridiculed. The world has never been more rich and yet the many are still starving at the rich mans table.
