kls12: This worked exactly as we hoped on our (previously very long-haired) working cocker spaniel. We kept it on the longest settings for the first go which was great but as we get braver we will go shorter. Perfect for what we needed and much nicer to do it ourselves than give her over to a groomer. Nice to decide which bits we want left longer and where to go short.

Islandgal: This grooming set is very nice and well made. That being said I don't feel like they are really low noise. The first time I went to use the clippers my dog heard the noise and ran like the wind. That being said this kit is durable and easy to use....if you can get your dog to stay still. I would purchase this kit again if needed as its not the product it my very wired dog. I'm trying to turn this on and off in her presensce to get her used to the hum which is not loud but is present. So far not going really well. The kit itself has everything you need to groom your pet, clipper/comb etc.

UE: The first one work fine, but do make noise after certain time used... the 2nd one i bought didn't even cut... but it was already pass return date..

M Collins: Update: It seems the issue may have been me as it has become far easier to snip my dogs fur, although there are parts of the scissors which are still not cutting. I would recommend this for home use/touching up when it’s been awhile from a groom and your dog isn’t due for another while

You get a lot for the price, but the scissors are not good for cutting my dogs fur, too blunt and takes 2-3 snips to get each piece off. The trimmer makes minimal noise, it’s great

photogirlphotogirl: This is a great grooming set considering the relatively low price. My dog is on immunosuppressive drugs and can no longer go to the groomer for fear of him catching something. He desperately needed a haircut, but I didn't want to invest too much money on clippers since I didn't know how long I'd have to groom him myself (or if it's even something I'd be able to do). For less than the price of one visit to the groomer, I bought these clippers and a set of scissors. I've never used clippers before, but these were really easy to use. They were pretty quiet and quite comfortable to hold and use from different angles. I love that it's cordless and allows me to groom my dog outside. I was worried the blade would get hot, but it stayed cool the whole time I was using it. I have a 20 lb cockapoo with wavy, fine hair, but there's a lot of it. These clippers worked well on him, although I did need to make a few passes sometimes to get through all the hair. I did have to stop fairly often to pull hair out of the guide comb and brush hair out of the blade, but it wasn't a big deal for me. Sometimes the clippers did get a little stuck going through his fur, but that's because he had a tangle....
