This anchor light base fits the original hole size on my Triumph boat and I didn’t have to re-drill the screw holes as everything matched up however, hold on to your original screws because this base does not come with screws. Also the new centralizer plug that slides down the pole doesn’t fit into the new base to secure the pole (REALY) and the new centralizer plug does NOT have an O ring like my original??? So I used my old centralizer plug with O ring instead and it fits the new base perfectly so all is well now. The chrome cap is metal and looks the same as my old one but it didn’t come with a gasket??? So I used my original base gasket instead. I don’t expect the new cap to rust but am holding on to my old one just in case. FYI - I used dielectric grease on the internal base pins and also where the 2 wires go into the bottom of the base to help prevent corrosion. I then put liquid rubber over the holes where the wires plug into the base to help prevent water from entering. Just for the heck of it I pulled the corroded wires from the bottom of my old base, took a small drill bit and drilled into the bottom of the pins to clean it up,...
