Roberto Hernandez: Me parecieron unos prismáticos de buena calidad, lamentablemente no se ajustaron bien a la separación de mis ojos y no tenían el alcance que yo queria, busque opiniones de expertos quienes señalan que es importante saber para que propósito se requieren, yo los quiero para observar aves y naturaleza y me recomendaron un binocular con mayor capacidad, unos 10X-42, tuve que hacer la devolución y no tuve problema

mikkebla: Estos prismáticos son macro, lo que significa que permiten usarse como si fuese una lupa cerca del objeto. Enfocan a distancias desde 60 cm, lo que los hace idóneos para observar objetos cercanos: flores, insectos, anfibios, detalles de cuadros en una exposición o de monumentos o edificios. Al propio tiempo pueden usarse como prismáticos convencionales. So muy ligeros y con una gran calidad óptica.
El principal inconveniente es que hay que afinar mucho para lograr la distancia interpupilar correcta pues es muy fácil que se visualice una zona de intersección central, aunque con la práctica se soluciona. También, para conseguir una imagen nítida hay que hacer un enfoque muy fino.
En definitiva unos prismáticos muy satisfactorios que llevo cuando hago turismo y en los paseos por jardines, parques , bosques, etc.

ReflexionistReflexionist: Mittlerweile haben sich hier einige Ferngläser mit unterschiedlichen Vergrößerungen und Objektivdurchmessern angesammelt, von Canon über Steiner bis Zeiss ist vieles dabei, sodass ich mittlerweile ganz gut einzuschätzen weiß, was Ferngläser leisten können – und was nicht.

Das Pentax Papilio II 8.5x21 ist gut verarbeitet, sehr klein, leicht, sehr handlich und über den ganzen Betrachtungsbereich, von sehr nah (50 cm) bis unendlich, nicht nur in Anbetracht des für ein gutes Fernglas geringen Preises, unglaublich scharf, verzeichnungsfrei und auch hell, was mich angesichts des 21 mm Objektivdurchmessers verwundert hat.

Die Vergrößerung von 8.5 kann ich gut halten, ohne zu wackeln, sodass sich auch bei der Verwendung dieses Glases im Nahbereich wunderbare Bilder ergeben.

Die Pentax Papilio-Serie besteht aus zwei Modellen, die wahlweise eine 6,5- oder 8,5-fache Vergrößerung bieten. Bei beiden handelt es sich um umgekehrte Porro-Prismen-Kompaktmodelle mit demselben, robusten Gehäuse und 21-mm-Objektivlinsen.

gil rudolph: Light weight, well made by known brand and have crystal clarity. Can also focus to with in 20/24 inches......I'm 88 yrs old and these binoculars are great for being able to see small print on the TV guide. We also use them at operas, plays, and for travel. I would definitely buy this product again...great price.....also would make great gift.

Jim: I bought these for hunting and impromptu bird watching. They are great for that because they are small enough to always have with you and offer a great image for the price. I accidentally found another use with the close focus feature. They are great for arrowhead hunting. I can scan small rock shards by my feet saving me from bending over thousands of times. They are very useful and you find you use them a lot more than a pair costing over $500.

Gene: Buy these, you won't be sorry. Clear, Bright, Sharp and the barrels are synchronized unlike the roof prism designed ones. The close focus is fantastic fun for hummingbirds, flowers and bugs. Long distance views are great also. Great for kids with adult supervision- Don't look at the sun kids. I had a pair of pocket roof prism binos but each barrel moved independently and they are almost impossible to keep even when using. These are great. I can't say enough good things about these. Far better quality than I expected. Very nice neck strap and case also. Highly recommend.

Ingrid: Ik heb een dure kijker van ruim duizend euro maar deze verbaasd me positief. Erg leuk en zen om de kleine natuurwondertjes mee uit te vergroten. Dan krijg je vanzelf meer respect voor alles wat leeft. Maar ook verassend goed om vogels mee te kijken. Neem m graag mee op tochten omdat ie zo veelzijdig is. Ook lekker licht.

Natodan: Great light weight binoculars for butterfly watching and some birding. They focus in to less than 2 feet. The only issue is there is no objective lens cover due to the shape of the housing. I would definitely buy again.

Amazon Customer: We learned about these from Betty Gatewood during a class she gave at the 2018 Shenandoah Wildflower Weekend. Betty does exquisite flower illustrations ranging from simple journaling to rigorous botanical illustration. She needs to see what she is drawing VERY clearly. She is used to critical viewing, and can tell when a tool is above average.

There are three big advantages to these: 1) crisp, clear, undistorted image and colors; 2) small, light, easily packed size; 3) ability to focus just about at the end of ones fingertips!

Without #1 the other two really don't matter. But the image IS right up there. Pentax used a "porro" prism setup instead of the more popular "roof" prism design. This means the glass has more joints that moisture can seep into. Pretty sure Pentax thought of that... it feels VERY well sealed! But this also means that the light has a less tortured path through the glass, which help the clarity and color correctness. This also means that the far end of the glass (the "objective" end) can have lenses closer together, which allows a closer focus without the feeling of going cross-eyed.

How important is the close focus? A butterfly won't...
