Tim: This kit is very good. There are varied sized rings that can be used to repair jewelry links. Add a touch of solder (I used standard electrical solder) and the repairs last.
Unfortunately, my wife has some finer jewelry that the smallest rings provided are too large. That is the only drawback I found.
I did order a magnifier on a stand to aid me in the repairs. Get one, it will make the repairs easier.

The case isn’t the best, as some of the compartments don’t close well.
I can accept that, but the pliers are absolutely a huge disappointment.
They are damaged, poor quality, and the metal is tougher than sandpaper. They don’t cut anything and crushed my wires.
If you are making jewelry to sell like myself, invest in higher quality tools.
Having said all this, the jump rings are what works best from this kit.
