Mark I.: We used this to contain our two new Lab pups (1@8weeks, 1@7mos). It is a beautiful fence and gate and was perfect for sectioning off our kitchen for them. I bought the extra feet, which improved our confidence that they couldn’t push it over. We didn’t attach it to the walls, so the 7mo. old escape artist figured out how to just keep pushing on it until they moved it enough to get out (educating the 8-week old along the way). This really wasn’t the gate’s fault though and we used it for a couple of months as a potty pad station and a way to get them out from under foot temporarily (when we were home) so it served our purposes well. Also, it is well designed and is easy to turn into an enclosed 4-sided pen for the little one. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again; it’s a high quality item.

ladella bareither: The media could not be loaded. Great gate IF ONLY used indoors! If outside and it gets rained on a couple of times, the gate will literally fall apart, crumble and rust . The instructions on the website do not list outdoors, so my bad. 😞. Otherwise, it was easy to put together, heavy, and sturdy! Great for indoor hardwood flooring.
Purchased mid July - trashed beginning of October. I’m sure had I read the Amazon website for areas to place gate, the gate would’ve lasted years. DO NOT put outside!!!

~Laura A.: First: this is a very attractive option in the world of gated communities for managing puppies, dogs, and cats. It's almost furniture-grade attractive. The design is clever. It's offers all kinds of flexibility (use it as a room barrier, a pen of various configurations, put it outside your entry doors to safely practice your dog staying in the house when the doors open and shut). It folds to the side easily, so if you have a place that you'll be using it a lot, you can move it out of the way easily without putting it away. If you don't mind spending extra to have something that's not going to announce to visitors that you're crate/house training/containing dogs, this is a nice option.
However...the hardware on it as far as the hinges go is woefully inadequate, and they aren't installed very well which exacerbates their shortcomings. The screws that are used are really short, and several were stripped on delivery, so even though I had a very small puppy who isn't one to jump on the barrier, just my opening and closing the entry gate to this a few times and the gate just fell off (WHAT?), which is when I discovered the issues with the hardware and the installation of it....

dpb: My wife and I examined many different similar products before deciding on this item. We are very pleased we bought it.
The item came very well packaged in a sturdy cardboard box with strongly-taped corners and edges.
The fence comes assembled, which is terrific! Inside the box, styrofoam sheets and pieces protected the item along with small cardboard and pieces of sponge to keep the pieces of the fence well protected during shipping! Ours came intact with no damage via USPS--amazingly still no damage.
The fence is nice looking with the white trim and black wiring and silver hinges/hardware. Right out of the box, the fence unfolds easily and each section can fold forward and backward making it easy to bend it where you need it as a fence or in two shapes as a fenced-in area--octagon or rectangle.
These are big panels and thus the box is big. This is 12 feet of fencing, too, so the box will be a little heavy for some, but not too bad overall. What helps it not be too heavy, compared to some similar products, is the thin thickness (depth) of each panel, so it folds up into a smaller space than other products that have each panel measuring in at 4-inches...
