Baylee: My cat loves this toy! However to extend the string, you have to press down on a metal tab with your thumb on the side of the crank, and it hurts my fingers to do so. Oh, well, my cat's happiness is what matters most, but one star off for sure for that painful experience.

Only caveat is that you can't actually cast, the reel doesn't pay out easily and it's a short line.

Lizz: The media could not be loaded.  I have six cats, 4 from a litter that was born on my property these kittens are very active, they’ve been keeping my husband and I up at night because we leave our door open for our older cat that is sick. So I looked into automatic toys as you do, but they break everything so it didn’t work out. I found this and thought well at least I can sit and play with them, since I am disabled, so, if you’re older or disabled get it, you need this. Let me tell you this was a home run my most active Kitten was panting by the end. And like I said, these kittens are not gentle little babies they are crazy. They pull on it, and they’re destructive but The rod stands up to it. Get it play with them 15 minutes since it’s long they run more it’s amazing!

Jitka K.: My tom cat loves the hangers so that I had to give them to him to play with without the fishing rod. The feathered one has only one feather left and still is my cat's favourite (yes, even the bell is off), the dragon fly lost its wings but is the favourite toy to play catch with (yes, he voluntarily brings it to me to be thrown away and he brings it back repeatedly till bored with me, then he keeps chewing the toy). The fish one is left for the fishing rod but is not that popular as it is rather robust, still, he loves licking the feathers and chasing it around and licking the feathers once caught.
The two things I would change - the metallic threads in the eyes of the dragon fly are easily pulled out leaves mess behind and are risk of being eaten
- make it optional to by a new set of the toys/hangers to replace those worn out by the play

one2enjoy: The cats love this. The string is a bit on the short side yet I understand this because I purchase another version of this type cat toy that has a long string which get twisted up on the spool if I am not careful. This one I have never had an issue with. The string is rather strong as well which I really did not expect given it size. My cats have clawed and bitten the string yet it is still intact...with only a couple of snags present on it after many play sessions. I am very happy with this toy and so are my cats.

Life on the Edge: I have 3 cats that age in range from 1 year to 2.5 years. They all were fascinated with this product. The oldest and youngest would chase after it and jump in the air to get the feathers. their favorite by far are the feathers attachment. The other attachments would be better if they could be filled with their favorite catnip (Meowijuana, Seriously, try it). The line on the reel is a bit too short for any decent "casting" and the reel makes some of the loudest clicking when reeling in. However, the line can be replaced with something longer if/when necessary. My oldest cat likes to chew the string when he catches the prey. The string has enough length to it to allow me to whip the feathers across the kitchen floor and send the feathers scooting under the stove, fridge, island where the cats will eagerly wait to pounce on it when it comes back out. The bell attached to the toy isn't too noisy and tends to grab the cats attention.

Now a word of caution. Notice I didn't mention much of my middle cat. Here's why: The toys attach to the line with an actual fishing snap swivel. These are metal clasps. These hold the toy to the line very well. Unfortunately, my middle cat likes to...

jax: My cat loves this toy. The feathers are brightly coloured and fun looking. I'm not sure how long the wand will actually last, but it's definitely worth the money paid. My only concern is the hook part. But, saying that, my cat finds this toy great fun!
