Travis Linden: Mr. King did a great job of keeping the topic of socially improving, as simple as possible. The author also did a great job of utilizing everyday scenarios in his examples, placing the situation as real as possible. I definitely recommend.

R. M: Quick way to improve people skills. I love the book summary at the end and review it before social events.

Kindle Customer: I've been working through some long term depression and anxiety. Part of this is relearning social skills as I became very isolated over many years and struggled to interact and communicate with people. The information in the book was very helpful but I found the chapter on toxic traits a little narrow minded and difficult to read. It wasn't the information itself but the narrative that we are simply terrible horrible self centred jerks if we have these traits. It's a very unhelpful and at times a harmful narrative for someone like me or someone who isn't neurotypical. Sometimes I simply didn't know what to say so just blurted anything out to try and keep a conversation going. Not selfish, just inept and trying. This narrative shows a distinct lack of emotional intelligence and ignorance of those with mental health conditions or who aren't neurotypical. I'd love to see a new version with that chapter updated because this book could be an incredible support for people recovering from mental health conditions or neuro divergent people learning how to communicate.

Jpb: I purchased this book 4 days ago to brush up on my conversation skills for a new business venture. I wasn't expecting much but decided I would go into it with an open mind. It was an easy read. I immediately applied the techniques in this book to my daily conversations. To my amazement I can say with 100% certainty that this author is on to something and it works.
Less than a day after reading this book a relative came to me sobbing uncontrollably about her relationship and home life. I was able to immediately diffuse the situation, build up her confidence, stop the crying and leave her in a much better mental state than where I found her. Even got a thankyou text the next day.
Two days after reading this book I was able to get a friend who never shares anything to open up about an issue with his father that has been on his mind for quite some time. This person also thanked me in person the next day and shared that he and his father talked and things are on the mend.
I didn't give advice. I didn't share my opinions. I asked meaningful questions and let these people come to their own conclusions. I said less than I ever would have before reading this book. It was nearly...

Jamie Carew: This is a great tool for conversation ideas, self awareness and learning to be better socially and with others. Highly recommend!

Reviewer: Very basic stuff here. Just common knowledge really. Would probably be useful for teenagers in highschool or someone who has no social skills at all.

UTME: I enjoyed reading this book. Lots of good advice, but it felt unfinished to me. If formatted like a normal book, it would probably be less than 100 pages.

Here are some suggestions:

1. There are many sections that need proper references. The material in many places was obviously taken from another source and should be cited.

2. The font is HUGE. The size found in children's books. Reminds me of high school trying to stretch out a paper to enough pages for the teacher.

3. One sentence does not a paragraph make.

4. The book has only one figure and it is illegible. See fuzzy Johari Window on page 161.

5. The example conversations were too short and simplistic. Would like to see more substantial examples instead of "Where's that squirrel again?"

6. Typo on page 90, "...from now own." should be probably "...from now on."

7. Sentences ending with a preposition through out the book. Not good. For example, even on the back cover, "...the situations you'll find yourself in."

8. Would be nice to know something about the author, his background, education, etc. included in the book. Only got that he likes Back to the Future movies...

TheOne: The reviews all looked really good before I bought it. Got the book- not bad, but most of the advice is very basic- like open up and talk to people. The whole genre of people skills books, charisma books etc. start with the assumption that you are some completely awkward person who has no friends and then mostly just gives common sense advice- although here and there you might find something useful. I'm more of an average or slightly below average people skills person who would like to take my skills to the next level- we all know those people- public speakers, preachers, salesman, police interrogators etc. who have an amazing ability to read people, speak to them, charm them etc.

The most interesting book on the subject I can recall is "What Everybody Is Saying" By Joe Navarro which is a book about body language written by an ex FBI agent. Even that book is not going to improve your skills over night but there definitely is a lot of useful information in it. Improve your people skills- its an ok read I could take it or leave it. Since I enjoy reading books, what the heck it's not a bad purchase.
